I've asked a lot of people and I get a lot of different things but the most I hear is, in terms of beauty, uniequness and just preference...
Advance Australia Fair
O Canada
Hino Nacional Brasileiro
I was surprised not to hear La Marseillaise that often, I'm by no means french but that scene from Casablanca gets me every time.

La Marseillaise because it's so recognizable. When you hear it you immediately think of France. The Russian/Soviet anthem is the same way.
Honorable mention for Deutschlandlied.
My favorite patriotic song that isn't American is Rule Britannia. It's great.

The Russian national anthem is great. Credit to Rocky IV for exposing me to it early.

In a medal ceremony in Kuwait they accidentally played the Borat version when a woman won gold... Very embarrassing and the entire country was outraged.

Is it just me or does their anthem seem a bit long?

Badass lyrics too.
Arise children of the fatherland
The day of glory has arrived
Against us tyranny's
Bloody standard is raised
Listen to the sound in the fields
The howling of these fearsome soldiers
They are coming into our midst
To cut the throats of your sons and consorts
To arms citizens Form your battalions
March, march
Let impure blood
Water our furrows
(Changed translations because that other one sucked)

Yeah, it's really more of a fight song than a national anthem

Canadian anthem was beautiful when the whole crowd sang it.
I've been saying for years that anthems should be sang by large groups and crowds.
Our anthem isn't good for this.. which is a shame.

I love how Canadians actually sing it. I wish we would too. But you're right, the anthem isn't written to be sung easily by large groups. It's like the Penn State Alma Mater vs. the Alabama Alma Mater. Penn State's is meant to be sung. For a variety of reasons, people just look awkwardly while Alabama's is being played. (I actually think I'm one of 1,000 people that actually know the words to Alabama's)
