Really? Seen some people on Facebook in Spanish Fort say their house shook.

Read that too, but that's 8 miles across the bay from Austal. Am heading to the pier after dinner, will report back

Doubtful it's terrorism UNLESS they were trying to use a fuel tanker to blow up the Wallace Tunnel which is very close to where the explosion occured.

So far they are saying only one fuel barge exploded, and it was caused by static.

Hearing static caused a spark.... was an empty natural gas barge

Damn sitting here on the pier looking at an eerie glow from the tankers.

The bay is so still I could definitely see a shockwave making its way to Spanish Fort

A friend of mine in Fairhope said that he heard the 4th explosion and felt the 5th.

There have been 5 explosions so far according to the news.

According to AL.com:
quote:

The first explosion occurred about 8:30 p.m., according to WALA TV. A second blast was reported at 9 p.m., a third at about 9:30 p.m., and a fourth blast at about 9:51 p.m.

The first blast rattled windows in houses in downtown Mobile and blew doors open in homes in Spanish Fort, news outlets reported. The aftershocks were also reported in Bay Minette and Fort Morgan.

Walked down to the dock and saw another explosion about 15 minutes ago. It woke up a monstrous alligator
