Hmmmm I work there and the dad is the founder and is deceased. The Frist money is all in a trust and split several ways as well. Tommy Jr is old as frick now as well, went to a fundraiser where he spoke a few weeks ago.

Holy shite, his son was in my pledge class at ole miss.

Had no clue they were that wealthy.

ETA:

Obvi really wealthy, but that family is so down to earth. Good people. The son drove a shitty old truck for half of college.

Yes. And Stan and Ann Kroenke are both worth about $5B apiece.

Not sure why all those aren't on the OP's list. But I didn't actually read Op's list.

There's also a Cargill heiress billionaire and the founder of Cerner rounding out the Missouri billionaires list.

According to Google, there are 5 billionaires in the state of Missouri.

Four in Arkansas.

A lot of rich people who are from a state might not live there, due to tax reasons.

I know rich people here who keep a home in Florida, have Florida driver's licenses, etc, for tax reasons.

Alice Walton spends as much of her time in Arkansas as she does Texas. She has a home in Bentonville near her museum. Arkansas has state income tax, so she saves a lot of $ by being a Texas resident.

I subscribe to Forbes and they put their edition out that had all of the billionaires in the US in it recently. I need to locate that.

It wouldn't surprise me. Its crazy if you've ever been to NWA, that we have three Fortune 500 companies, including the Fortune #1, in this little area.

For reference, Wal-Mart's revenues are 10-times those of FedEx, which makes Memphis' economy. The profits are 8-times FedEx.

Surprised it wasn't someone with coal money. Tobacco money doesn't surprise me much either though considering just how much was made off it before government crackdowns and settlements.

That is crazy honestly. Still Texas has three top ten. One in DFW, one in Houston and one in San Antonio. Texas is so awesome.

Texas is ok. Too many Texans in it, though.

There's another in Springdale but it's held closely and he won't let it get out.

I suspect there is another in Bentonville too.

There are more than the magazines or public realize.
