Amazing woman. Will donate $1,000 per month, per family that lost their home in the wildfires.

Saw this on the news, I think for up to 6 months. I would assume this is for residents, and not people who own and manage cabins for rent.
Great gesture on her part. She really created that part of Tennessee and made it thrive.

Yeah I think it's for residents. The rental companies are insured out the arse. The businesses are as well, but the employees of some of those businesses not only lost their homes, but also their jobs.

Some of it will be rebuilt, but Gatlinburg will never be the same.

Yeah, very sad. I was just down there about 3 weeks ago, stayed in a cabin on Wears Valley road. Would like to know if it was affected, but it was right on Wears Valley, so I would hope not.

If more people were like Dolly Parton, this would be a far better world to live in.

Good for her.

Do they know how this thing got started?

No, but the drought was so extreme that even a discarded lit cigarette could have kindled the disaster.

That's awesome of her. I didn't realize she had that kind of money. But after looking it up, she's worth over 450 million. That's awesome that she's accomplished so much, and is still an incredibly kind person.

yep, she has invest in many businesses and the owner of Dollywood Amusement Park. Not to mention music sales.

She's always, always, always seemed like a loving and kind person everytime she's on TV/interviews.
