It really surprised me the amount of white trash/rednecks living in the northeast outside of big metros the first time I visited. Went to the family of a friend of mine and holy crap... I've seen my share of inbred looking rednecks trash growing up in rural NE AL, but even this surpassed anything I had ever seen.

The Northeast has been settled longer... so they have had even more time for serious inbreeding. Some of those folks make Appalachian hillbillies look like cosmopolitan world travelers.
