Do you have any phobias you're ashamed of?

I'm afraid of insects with stingers. I freak out when wasps, bees, hornets, et cetera fly near me. I run around like a crazy person saying, "AHGEDAWAYGEDAWYAGEDAWAY frick shite frick leave me alone AH GETAWAY"

I'm always scared of a snake biting my butt when I sit on the toilet.

I will freely admit I'm terrified of high places.

I'll get real here: the only thing I truly fear is the day I have to make the call to put my cat down. He's only 7 but as he gets older it just feels more and more like a ticking time bomb. I hate it and can't get it out of my head. I am ashamed because this is my true vulnerability, weakness.

My cat is 20, yes 20, and while she is nowhere near as spry as she used to be she still has a very good quality of life. Do not over think this. You will know when the time comes.

Snakes. Can't stand em. I hate when there's pics or vids of them on my phone where I have to "touch" anywhere close to them, that's how stupid my fear is.

I appreciate it, and I know it's irrational at this point but I feel it. Best to your cat- I'd do anything to have mine at age 20

I have trypophobia and it’s the weirdest f’n thing. I don’t get why but I get itchy and cringey around hole clusters, I read somewhere it’s tied to a fear of snake patterns which I also hate snakes.

Generally speaking I think that is pretty young for a cat. We have a 12 year old dog, she is really slow now, but I take the best care I can of her. Will till the day she dies. She eats before I do if that is my only option. We lost her sister 2.5 years ago, and I still think about her every day.

I have acrophobia, too. Sheer heights are the worst. I don’t mind flying or hiking up steep mountains but put me on top of a tall building and my body hurts.

I’m constantly afraid of getting in a car accident. I’m a meticulous driver and always triple check every maneuver, and I still am always afraid someone is gonna bash right into me and ruin my day.

I was in a couple of bad car accidents when I was younger so it’s probably just ptsd.

You're just extra cautious I think. Getting hit by someone else is something not enough people operate with enough awareness about.

Driving is very dangerous.

You got that right. Everyone does it so we don’t think about how dangerous it is.

I have a Subaru with a bunch of driver assist features and automatic braking, stuff like that. But then I drive my wife’s car that has none of that and I feel super vulnerable and driving feels much more dangerous.

Pretty soon those features will have to be mandatory on all cars, especially the brake assist. It’s literally a life saver, it will be like seatbelts soon.

Nothing to be ashamed of. I think most people don't like to be deprived of personal space.

I cannot imagine the horror of being buried alive.
