Custom made cowboy boots....worth the money??

Anyone here own a pair of custom made cowboy boots? I'm thinking about buying a pair but wondering if they are really worth the money.
There are several boot makers in TX I've been looking at for some exotic skins like ostrich or gator. Anybody have anyone they would recommend?

The day I buy I pair of "exotic leather" boots is the day I'll no longer consider myself a male.

They're supposed to fit great, custom made for each person. Granted, I'm not a fan of the exotic leathers.

Probly not what you're looking for, but these are what I'm rocking these days:

Just distressed leather on the bottom and regular on top, and comfortable as hell. IMHO, any pair of boots is worth the money as long as they're a good fit, regardless of what they're made of.

Those look a lot like my previous pair of boots, actually. Can't go wrong with snakeskin, IMO.
