If you don't mind me asking, what was the test like? Exactly how is it administered? Is it like a flu test where they stick a swab up your nasal cavity? Also, how long did it take to find out the results?

I know that the test is via nasal swab. How long it takes to get results back often depends on who administered it as we are finally getting some private tests done.

Yes it’s almost exactly like a flu swab except for whatever reason she stuck it way further up my nose to the point that it was uncomfortable. Idk if it was a different tip or what. She originally said it would take 4 days but it took 48 hours on the dot. But I know people that had tests on Monday and still haven’t got results.

A question for you- do they swab and give you a preliminary result. Asking because someone i know said they were tested and told it was negative but they were sending it off anyway. That sounds like utter bs to me.

I did not get a “preliminary” result licious. However, I was “presumptive” because my flu and all other corona/Noro/rhinovirus tests were negative. Flu test has. 25% false-negative rate while Covid is less I believe.
