No Don Williams or Mark Chestnutt. Your list is shite.

The Gentle Giant was awesome! Voice as smooth as whiskey.

Kinda surprised how few there are from South Carolina. I did a quick Google search and these were the top 7. I'm familiar with Darius and Josh but the others..not so much.

Darius Rucker
Aaron Tippin
Josh Turner
Lee Brice
Bill Anderson
Shawnee Smith
Linda Martell

Yeah I'd never thought of it before but I could immediately think of a handful of all time greats from everywhere but South Carolina.

Bill Anderson may be the most famous in terms of record sales, mainly in the 60s.

I'd guess South Carolina certainly has a number of famous Soul/r&b/jazz artists though.

Land thieves posturing about entertainers they've never met, never will and have zero bearing on anything sports related.

Completely relevant to the SEC...

I live in Dallas Georgia, about 25 miles north of Atlanta and Travis Tritt and Patty Loveless both live within about 5 miles of my house.
Also, Zac Brown has a home in Athens.

I’ve been listening to Lee Atwater’s R&B on YouTube recently. He’s actually really good.

My in-laws live in Dallas and I know where Travis's place is. Gated of course. I've never been sure where Patty Loveless's place is at.

JoDee Messina also lives in S.Fayette and goes to church w/my boss.

Sara Evans and Chely Wright(had a stupid crush on her in the 90's/early 00's) are from Missouri. Chely was raised in Kansas, though.
