The man was a body builder that was high on bath salts.

I don't know shite about tasers, but that sounds crazy.
I'm not one to take up for cops, but based on what I read, this shooting seems justifiable.

This guy was being more than a handful for all of the cops, I don't understand why they didn't have more than 2 officers transporting him.

I don't have the answer either, but if you observe other officers in the jail, as they pull out Saenz from his cell, this seems to be accepted as "Usual" behavior. No other Officers appear surprised at the goings on.
Sad situation all the way around.

Sad story. I know the taser had been ineffective but drawing his firearm that close might not have been the next best step.

I always go back to wondering... "If the officer wasn't armed, could he still have completed his task"
In the scenario, transporting a prisoner... You would think the easiest solution is just to call another guard. I'm not faulting the cop, merely his training and the procedure around it. There needs to be a threat of deadly force in a lot of situations. I don't think this was one of them.

No matter if it's justifiable the Cop is still BITCH MADE for not being able to handle someone in cuffs

Go spend some time around jails and see how dangerous they are to work in. Cuffs do not guarantee success, I am bit surprised they did not use leg irons but there must have been some reason they did not.

These two cops seems to be struggling with him for 3+ minutes, perhaps could have gotten more help to subdue/transport him.

Not to sound crass but anyone who's stupid enough to do bath salts after the pub they've gotten the last few years- well let's just say I lack sympathy.

Let me preface by saying this: He should have called for help from inside.
With that said, you see in the beginning of the video when they are dragging him out, he's really not doing anything. It's when they get outside alone with the dude he starts going nuts again.
It also states in the article, along with being tased 5 times, that he was taking his hands around below his feet and bringing the cuffs in front multiple times.
Eventually I think the guy needs to know if he doesn't calm down something really bad is going to happen to him. It was just horrible luck that the gun went off but you can clearly tell in the video he didn't shoot him on purpose.
Going back to this, I think it's almost a microcosm of criminals in general in this country. Too many times people rob, assault, or other shite because they know they're either going to spend no time in jail or very little time in jail. Punishments need to become more harsh to eliminate some of it to begin with.

Wow expected to see the guying going ape shite and ramming into the police officers so they shot him bc their lives were some how in danger. Instead I saw a guy rolling around on the ground and as soon as they got tired of dealing with him they shot him. Not an acceptable use of force.

Why because the civilian assistant (Didn't even know there were such things) got thrown into the officer?

yes, when dealing with a firearm it shouldn't accidentally go off. The cop needs to be more aware.

fwiw, I didn't give enough of a frick to watch the video. I was just going off the comment that the cop didn't mean to shoot the guy. I have to assume someone is incompetent if they end up shooting someone when they didn't mean to do it.

Dude.
The guy was face down on the ground and high as a kite. He wouldn't have even known the cop had a gun. It was a completely useless action to pull it out.
Cop panicked and then fricked up and shot him. He should be released from the force. If he can't handle a routine move like this he doesn't need to be on the force.
And I really have no sympathy for anyone locked up for being high on bath salts. frick you for doing something like that. It puts you out of your mind and puts everyone you come in contact with at risk.
