Today would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday. The 2 were very close. Cornell actually sang backup on tour a few times with LP.

Linkin Park was one of my favorite bands growing up but I have no sympathy for suicide either. It's completely giving up and selfish. You think he thought about his kids or what he was leaving behind when he decided to kill himself? No ofcourse he didn't. All he was thinking about was his "pain" and his "problems". Anyone can take their own life. It's the easiest choice. I hope he's found peace on the other side I really do.
