You couldn’t be more wrong.

I’m not a good Christian, but I do appreciate good when I see it.

You shouldn’t be so fast to judge others.

I do have a sense of humor and will continue to use it.

I do have gay family members.

I did work for many years with majority gay friends that are no longer here because of the aids scourge.

So why are you so prejudiced?
Let me me take that back.

I shouldn’t prejudge you.

The best comedy ever invented is people making fun of each other and even better people making fun of themselves.

I will never stop doing it because there is nothing better than laughter to help people through rough times.

They do deserve recognition, but I don't need to see 30 facebook live updates of you patting yourself on the back.
Then get off Facebook. Whining like a bitch.

It’s a shame the media doesn’t report more of these stories.

Maybe that's because there isn't many stories like the Cajun Navy?

They're getting a ton of exposure right now.

But man, there are a ton of them that are facebook living the entire time they are driving there and also while making rescues. Now tell me that they aren't trying to get some recognition.

I was always taught to tithe silently.

That said, it's a Facebook world in which we live, and I think things like this are an exception to tithing silently. The more exposure some of these guys get, the more it encourages others to do the same, and the more it brings people together... and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Go Cajun Navy.

I get the humility aspect, and that is admirable. You're right about word getting out inspiring others with their example.

I want to add something else about recognition. Anyone who is qualified to help that has the will, the want and the way to do so must be recognized.

It ain't about glory or ego, I'm talking cause and effect. How is Commissioner Gordon going to light up the Bat-Signal if he's never heard of Bat-Man?

The Cajun Navy is what America is all about and there are endless other groups doing similar work. Their intentions are pure and they don't care about your race, background, religion, or politics. They truly just want to help.

Absolutely what this country is about. You don’t have to wait for a disaster to see it. Every afternoon folks from all walks of life, backgrounds and economic situations gather at sporting fields and work with kids.....they are tired after a days work but they are there. Teachers buying school supplies out of their own pockets. Nurses and doctors treating patients they know can’t pay in full. Volunteer firemen. Policemen. Soldiers. Preachers.
The list is exhaustive. You don’t need CNN to know this is what this country is about
and this is what Americans do.....in fact if we’d spend more time at little league parks and less time on Fox and CNN and these kinds of forums we’d all have more perspective and a better outlook on life.

I saw some of them reloading supplies around 5 AM here in SC. Once again LSU came thru for folks here in SC. Thanks to all of them.

This doesn't fit the media's narrative.
