The reason is because each country has different sensitivities so the socialist uses what works in that country to gain power.
He doesn't care what or how gains power, just that power is gained.

Regan was a puppet and an idiot. A close family member worked high up in his administration (diehard Republican) and knows he was popular but a terrible policy person.
We have a homeless issue because we shut down long term locked care facilities for those who were incapable of living in the outside world. Now we do mental health care by police at 1/8 the effectiveness and 8x the cost
We have media monopolies on the far left and the far right spewing equal hatred and killing America because he killed the laws that let the FCC keep both sides in check. He made lots of money for his buddy Annenberg and open the door to Rupert who took it to a whole new level.

How we went from Ike (a moderate republican who solved the border issue without wasting taxpayers $$$$ on a wall or more security) to Trump who made somebody some coin with all the dough he has blown through.
America was great when we had moderates on both sides and we will not return to that point until we bring back the moderates from both sides and jail the far right and far left for putting us in this mess.

Most "ism's" - including capitalism - are how the very few control the masses for their personal benefit. If the USA is to survive we need a real free market (the carrot) and a real government for the people (the stick) to create long teams goals that benefit the citizens not just large corporations and a handful of wealthy folk that really just want wage slaves as actual slave would wake up the country to their desires.

If you're a foreigner and have money. You have to constantly bribe officials. The same is true for Russians just to a lesser extent.
She probably had that shite all the time and just always paid a little extra bribe.
Russia has decided to make her a political prisoner. Likely because of her race and sexuality. Both are heavily persecuted in Russia.
Shame on you for enabling and glorifying the actions of an autocratic government.
