Splash of water releases the guaiacol molecules in the whiskey which releases more flavors and scents. It makes good whiskeys even better.

"Fine Vodka" is comical.
Even the Russians freeze and shoot it. I know. I'm not bad at math and, therefore have worked with some.
The newbs breaking into distilling up here sell gin and vodka to pay the bills until they can bottle the bourbon.

Lulz, my buddy who owns Castle and Key is doing exactly that...but his bourbon is going to be off the charts which will be released this spring. The Rye they just released is incredible.
