The best character on television ever? I recently found a television station called MeTV. It shows all these old shows and I've discovered a series called Cannon.
The lead character is a huge man named William Conrad. He is, bar none, the best actor to ever grace a television screen. He cruises around like an absolute boss in a Continental Mark IV that is a long as a Greyhound bus. The hood is longer than an F-150.
A 385 V8 pushed him along and a snubnosed .38 did the reckoning when it needed done. He had a phone in his car in the early to mid '70's because, well, he was a superstar the likes of which are no longer portrayed on television.
His acting skills were unmatched then and remain so to this day. He could move like a cat, at 5'8" tall and 260 pounds, and never lost a footrace or a fistfight.
Frank Cannon was, quite simply, the best.
