State's campus is pretty nice. The only thing it really lacks is that one "knock your socks off" historic building.

Arkansas made some mistakes, vacillating between their master plan, and modernism, but a lot of aesthetic issues are absolved due to it having a couple of six-story 2nd-empire-style towers from 1874 on Old Main. You can see those towers from 10 miles away in certain locations.

It isn't the "red brick and columns" theme that a lot of southern schools follow, and we have a good, er "highly regarded" architecture school, so you'll always see modernist buildings, from any given time.

That is why I have a problem with Arkansas’ campus. It’s just way too variable given the time. They’re finally correcting our Student Union, but it and the Old Law Center have been blights on our campus that have needed to be renovated for a good 30 years.

But I do love Fayetteville as a town. I am jealous of the local brew scene and that there is an actual economy outside of the university.

I think their oldest dining hall is the coolest that I've seen. LINK

LINK

It was built in 1921 and is a Mississippi Landmark.

The YMCA building is pretty unique. LINK

Then sucks to be out of shape?

I'll take your word for that too, I'm not out of shape.

I simply stated that you have to walk uphill to get around that campus. I don't see why you're taking it personally. Enjoy your "topographical character."

Uhhhhhh....I've recently noticed that when I walked uphill going somewhere, I generally was walking...downhill when going back.....but that's just me.

It is def. bit of a workout to walk UGA's campus especially when it is hot. But that wouldn't be a bad thing from an exercise standpoint.

I like those two fountains on UGA's campus and it has more trees than most.

lived in Fayetteville for 6 months, and while a beautiful town, Arky’s campus is ugly as shite. The buildings are just awful. They’re all over the place and don’t consist of a constant tone. I’d easily put LSU over them.

And Bama over us?

Both Ole Miss and Bama's campus got crazy with the column buildings. It seems kind of copycat of UVA and other schools in Virginia.

ANd the roof on the Old Miss buildings kind of reminds me of the Red Roof Inn.
