Fine hate and judgement. As crazy as it sounds, the majority of Christians are normal people who arent insane and don't hate and judge others any more than non Christians
quote:as did I, I never saw people hating and judging others because of their religious beliefs
I grew up in an entire church

Also... a couple? I grew up in an entire church full of them and have seen thousands.
Do you think that being a Christian relieves people of sin or that they are faultless once they've accepted Christ as their Saviour?
If anything, it just highlights their shortcomings. And it gives them the opportunity to try to better themselves and live their lives as Christ teaches them. It doesn't make them perfect and they/we will falter daily in our endeavours. That doesn't mean they don't strive to live better lives. And it doesn't mean that anyone is looking down on anyone who doesn't choose that for themselves. There are hypocrites in all walks of life. Religion is no different. What is though, is that they/we believe we are forgiven for our faults and shortcomings, and continue to strive to live a more Holy life. Doesn't mean we're successful every day or all the time.

The 3 major Christian religions all argue about the messenger. What I want to know is did you get the message? Btw I don't have a problem with anyone's beliefs. I have mine they can have theirs. As long as they don't shove their beliefs down my throat I won't reciprocate.

Christians don't argue on whos the messenger, they argue on how to follow his message

I also haven't stated that my goal is to do that. Just not understanding the thinking process of being so hardline and obtuse about NOT believing in something.
I'm saying the athiests were the one doing that. Also, as someone who doesn't define themselves as a Christian, a lot of it has to do with my believe that the belief system is hardline and obtuse. I am not an atheist and I find them hate filled and bitter, but I find that in general, an agnostic is far less obtuse and ignorant when it comes to religion and morality. They genuinely have an open and unbiased attitude towards it. I have also read lots of works on apologists(C.S. Lewis is where I started). I feel that they take a very childish and simple vindication for returning to the fold. Mere Christianity turned me off the Bible almost completely. That's just my opinion though.

Did I say thousands was a majority? No, I didn't. I said that I've seen thousands.
Most recently those One Million Moms terrorist crazies trying to force their beliefs on to individuals and companies that don't share their beliefs.

Fair enough and respect your choice to believe as you do.

You said the majority of Christians don't follow the message of peace and understanding so I was responding to that. We have crazy people, it sucks but we do, but they are far from being the majority

I know what I've experienced and witnessed. You're not going to change my mind on that and I'm certainly not going to change yours.

I'm not trying to convert you, all I'm saying is those people dont represent the majority of Christians any more that extremist Muslims/terrorists don't represent the majority of Muslims

Good. And when I am shattering the pelvis of one of your kind, I will respect her beliefs when she starts to scream, "O God, O God, O God" at the top of her lungs.

And I can't tell you how many times as an agnostic I've been told to "get off the fence" by either devoutly religious or atheists. Both have their fair share of assholes. I prefer the live and let live approach.
