Don't focus on the ball, try to focus on the back half of the ball and hit that.

Guy that hits the hole-in-one has to buy drinks for everybody.
Don't be that guy. Be the guy hanging out with him.

Work on alignment.
One stick at the target, the other PARALLEL LEFT of the target. Tons of golfers are misaligned and that is where the frustration comes in. Every time you hit a ball on the range be properly aligned to the target. Ingrain the feel of this.
Second, work on short game as much as possible.

I always teach guys to lay a club down touching each toe while in your stance, and wherever it's pointing is where you're aiming.

When I played competitively I would end each practice by making 30 3 foot putts in a row. If I missed, start over.

Work on putting and short game & as for hitting on the range "grip it & rip it". The less you think abt it the better you'll be. The more you let your mind take over your swing the more you'll fight your swing. Just my .02

Get yourself a foot wedge and use it often.

Alignment is everything.
You can have a great swing but if you aren't aligned properly it means nothing. You would be amazed how many golfers are mis aligned on EVERY shot.

But you need to separate the upper half of your body from the lower half.....see Freddy Couples. Just because you're aligned to your target before you swing doesn't mean you'll be aligned to your target at impact....and vice versa.

Practice putting and especially chip shots. If you're having trouble with your driver, don't get frustrated. Use a 1 iron off the tee maybe.

Slow down
Keep your head down
Practice swing before every stroke to get the proper feel of the club
Become proficient in 3 clubs: 3 Wood, 7 Iron, Putter
And the greatest tip of all - quit now and don't get into it
