Well.. this won't flame the fires any, with the release of the video and pictures, then this debacle of a press conference.

During the last press conference, he laid out the timeline in away that made you think the robbery and initial confrontation with Brown were directly related.

Yep.. and mayor as well, I'm sure he was involved in the decision to have both conferences.
He's clearly a small town police chief that hasn't the training or education to handle something like what's going on. Granted, not many would that aren't a NY City or such. However.. you'd think they'd have a legal team assembled and advising them on what to say and not say at this point in time.

Agreed. Somewhere, someone is getting their arse chewed for this shitstorm of information release(s).
I'd be shocked if they didnt have a legal team assembled. Although, it seems they're too stupid to think of this.

Did you know your AVI is used by lots of other people? I don't know who it is of, but it is on at least 2 other sites I visit.

I honestly think I could have done better in both press conferences, than what he did. Having other officers behind him, sunglasses on and one with his hand resting on his sidearm was not a very professional moment either. It's like they're trying hard to do everything they shouldn't have done.

On Friday afternoon, Michael Brown's family and their attorney released the following statement:
"Michael Brown’s family is beyond outraged at the devious way the police chief has chosen to disseminate piece mil information in a manner intended to assassinate the character of their son, following such a brutal assassination of his person in broad daylight.
There is nothing based on the facts that have been placed before us that can justify the execution style murder of their child by this police officer as he held his hands up, which is the universal sign of surrender.
The prolonged release of the officer’s name and then the subsequent alleged information regarding a robbery is the reason why the family and the local community have such distrust for the local law enforcement agencies.
It is no way transparent to release the still photographs alleged to be Michael Brown and refuse to release the photographs of the officer that executed him.
The police strategy of attempting to blame the victim will not divert our attention, from being focused on the autopsy, ballistics report and the trajectory of the bullets that caused Michael’s death and will demonstrate to the world this brutal execution of an unarmed teenager."

Most departments have automatic admin leave after a shooting.
It doesnt mean the cop did something wrong, its automatic, ket the dust settle, let the due dilligence of the investigation occur and invite in the state BI to provide a hint of objective investigation.
That way people dont riot and media has nothing to report.
What did this department do?
I haven't followed this story.
Im more concerned with WWIII in the mideast and the upcoming uga-clemson matchup.
It doesnt mean the cop did something wrong, its automatic, ket the dust settle, let the due dilligence of the investigation occur and invite in the state BI to provide a hint of objective investigation.
That way people dont riot and media has nothing to report.

This makes the whole encounter a lot easier to understand and may help lend credibility to the officer's account.
Cop rolls up on Brown walking down the street. He thinks he's just got a guy walking down the street but Brown knows he just robbed the store. He most likely assumes the cop knows too (I would if I'd have been him).
Cop goes to get out, Brown goes into I don't want to get arrested mode, and things go downhill from there. Might be totally wrong, but makes a lot more sense than 'just walking in the street' escalating to a shooting.
As far as his buddy goes, he was a accomplice in the robbery. As far as I'm concerned not one word he says is believable now.

Nothing that you would have heard of probably. One is a members only music trading site and the other I'd probably get banned for linking here - not a porn site but it has some very questionable content and I can't visit it from work.
