Senior in HS. I was office aide at the time and went in the library and pretty much watched that all day. I was watching live as the second plane hit.
Terrible terrible day.
But...

8th grader at a small private school. I didn't understand all of it until I watched footage on TV at home. I still remember the feeling of watching TV with what felt like a lump in my throat from emotion. After hearing stories of bravery from the events, I know how proud I felt to live in this country. God Bless the USA

I was in third grade. My dad and I were listening to sports talk radio as he drove me to school when the radio hosts interrupted their segment to break the news. I remember being convinced that it was just an accident...my young 3rd grade mind couldn't imagine that someone would ever do that on purpose

9/11 was terrible. As a semi-adult, just out of college, I would have been a-ok with us nuking Mecca on that day.

I remember watching on live TV, American citizens choosing to jump to their deaths from the top towers of one of the tallest buildings in the world, because it was a choice betwen that, or being burned alive.
Nobody should ever forget those images.
Also, never forget the Arab Muslims dancing in the streets in their countries on that day.

Why was the investigation into the Clinton BJ fiasco given more funding than the 911 commission?

I posted on the OT that one sad thing to me about the events from 14 years ago is that we have completely forgotten that radical muslims want to kill every non muslim on the planet.

I was in the 3rd grade, none the wiser.
Didn't know anything happened until I got to my after school daycare center. They had a tv in the lobby and my mom was already off of work, which was unusual (she worked at Ft. Jackson, which is an Army training base in Columbia). All they showed was a smokey area, and I didn't know what was going on. I asked my mom and all that she said was that the world was ending.

I hope you don't have the same mindset as some of the crazies in the O-T Lounge who want to turn the Middle East into a glass crater.

I was a 5th year senior at UGA, walking into Park Hall for an exam, running about a minute late, huffing and puffing, professor was at the door and said "Test is cancelled" and I thought it was his way of saying I failed because I was a minute late, something he was known to do.
When I saw over his shoulder the room was empty, is when he said "There have been terrorist attacks on Washington DC"
I felt relieved that I didn't miss the test, but wondered what the frick was going on....
Walked out of Park Hall and one of my best friends happenned to be driving by, saw me, pulled over, picked me up. His girlfriend was in the car, her dad was a Delta pilot, and she starts telling me about everything as they give me a lift home.
I get back to my apartment, my crackhead neighbor greets me like "Duuuude... have you fricking heard blah blah blah" and follows me into my apartment because he didn't have TV.
We turn on Fox News and start drinking beer at about 10am on the morning of September 11 2001.
The rest is history.

And yeah... at the time.... I wanted to turn that whole place into glass and exterminate every one of those camel riding motherfrickers.
