Bush isn't electable. He's no different from McCain in '08. If the establishment pushes him, they are essentially throwing in the towel to the Dems. McCain wasn't legitimate opposition to Obama in '08, and Bush won't be opposition to Clinton in '16.

I think he's electable. McCain was a horrible candidate. He stood no chance anyway but he did himself no favors by refusing to define Obama early. Bush probably has more charisma and a better campaign organization. That doesn't mean its a certainty he would win the primary or the general, but I think he's certainly a better candidate than McCain.

That leaves Rubio, Paul, and Walker.

Rubio - No real experience. Republicans like experience. He's going to have to build momentum early.

Walker - Doesn't matter if it is relevant, but his lack of a college degree could easily be made into a liability. He needs to get out in front of this ASAP.

Paul - Like you said, he's rough around the edges and he's an idea candidate. Idea candidates traditionally don't win. However, I think he has a lot of potential if he has the right campaign and message.

The last thing the GOP needs to do is nominate someone who can easily be made in caricature by the Democrats or media. Republicans usually get branded as either out of touch or as a hayseed.

No way Jeb's Utility cronyism (when it comes to his energy track record) would survive the media lambasting.

Its bad real bad, Rubio's is not much better.

Its the Republicans turn to control the binopoly. If you think the Bush's and their corporate cronies are going to allow someone else to sit on their throne, then i laugh at you now, and i will laugh at you again after the election. It has already been decided. Jeb Bush will be your next president. All between now and then is just political theater.
