I personally didn’t find what Mike Fuller said to be all that insulting. But he dared to criticize the riots and “men who pee sitting down” at the same time so it sent liberal guitar players into hysterics. Fuller has always been known to be a grade A arsehole to his customers and anyone who had issues with his pedals so it didn’t take much to get the flames going. Guitar Center, who was his biggest customer, pulled all their stock and has cut ties with him.

Robin Trower will need a new rig as all his stuff on his board was Fulltone...if he cares.

What I find insulting is some of the other well known pedal builders have all come out yesterday and today saying they’ll donate all profits or big portions of profits to BLM for a day or two. Obviously just to avoid any fallout being in the same industry as Fulltone. Robert Keeley is a big Trump supporter and has apparently gone and deleted a bunch of pro-Trump tweets and likes. He donated a day’s worth of his personal salary.

Keeley is a T-Rumper?

Time to find a new compressor. I’ll make a tiktok of me shitting on the Keeley 4 knob.

Ha! Not a chance I'm giving up my OCD pedal. I have that thing dialed in with my rig to get exactly the tone I've always wanted. If it's a question of whether I'll ever buy any Fulltone stuff in the future, I wasn't planning on that anyway. But if something works for me I'm mot going to worry about politics when good sound is in the balance.

Is this the thread where we all burn our Fulltone pedals in faux outrage?

Cancel culture is f$&king stupid, but let’s be honest: most musicians buying pedals are way left of center. Heck, his most loyal customers are likely left of Marx. Know your audience.

I’m as anti-communist as they come, but I absolutely love old big muffs and soviet designed amps. In music, my decisions on what I use in my music always comes down to price, reliability, versatility, and tone. I never consider politics.

The far left players over at the r/guitarpedal Reddit cesspool have all proudly defaced or repainted their Fulltone products which is stupid because Fuller already has their money, and anyone will know that it’s a Fulltone product still because most of them have a unique casing. Doesn’t really stick it to him, and they probably won’t be able to resell it. They love the tones too much to part with them but “hay this Fulldrive is all black now so it proves I support BLM!!!!!!!!!!”

One guy had a FD-2 which was his “favorite pedal of all time” but he was giving it away “only to someone who was a guitar player of color”.

What I’m hoping is that the pedals come down in price with blowout sales because I want another Fulldrive 3 and the Clyde Wah has always peaked my interest. Reverb.com has gone down the crapper since being bought out by Etsy so I’m only buying stuff at the moment from Sweetwater.

I have to interrupt to say that a FullDrive 2 run at 18V is miles better in my opinion. Admittedly, each sounds different in different amps, but the FD-3 was a rare pedal that I genuinely hated. I've had a FD-2 for 15 years and I still have it on my board.

In a plot twist to the Fulltone/Guitar Center saga, it appears Mike Fuller actually terminated his contract with GC for failure to pay. They owed him 60k and never paid up so and he demanded all his inventory to be returned. They’re over 1.2 billion in debt at the moment and wanted some brownie points by claiming they proudly disassociated themselves from Fulltone when it was actually the opposite.

I’ve run all my Fulldrives at 18v. Makes a world of difference in headroom. And I’m going to buy another FD-3 as the drive side, while not as good as the old Push/Pull Comp Cut FD-2, is serviceable enough. But the boost side is absolutely worth the pedal in itself. It’s also Fulltone’s 2B boost pedal in solo form.

Just picked up a full drive 2 based on this board’s testimony. Replacing a malfunctioning catalinbread dos mas on my board.

And under Communism, there will be 1 electric guitar, 1 type of pickup, 1 type of amp, 1 type of effects pedal (if you're lucky).

People are so fricking stupid under the best of circumstances. The Rona has made them even stupider.
