Who says he won’t hire a defensive coordinator? It’s tough in the middle of the year to do that. He might at the end of the year. I don’t know that he will, but he might.
As far as recruits go, nobody is going to be able to come in here and get great recruits in their first 2 years. Whoever is coaching is going to have to get the 2 and 3 star guys that have tremendous upside...coach em up, and have some success. Then and only then can we start looking at 4* guys. And let’s face it, we’re lucky to get a 5* once every 5-10 years. And yes, we’re playing against teams like Alabama, Georgia, Florida that are loaded with 4’s and 5’s.
I’m sure Wilson or Candle will be good head coaches, but it’s going to take them 4 years or more to turn this program around too. After year 2 of their regimes, if they only win 3-4 games, is everybody going to call for their heads in a neuse like they are Odom’s?
At some point, we’re going to have to give a coach a 4-5 year opportunity to prove he can or cannot do the job. You just can’t have a revolving door every 2 years due to lack of success. And let’s face it, nobody on here has any idea if Odom, Candle, Wilson, or any other coach you can think of can come to Missouri and build the program back up and even better than before.
The SEC fans are just brutal. I listen to a lot of sports talk radio daily, and most are saying as many as 8 coaches in the SEC are on the proverbial “fans hot seat”. A lot of these teams are going to win 8-9 games this year, and that’s just not good enough. Mark Packard today was talking about Nebraska and Frank Solich. The man averaged 10 wins a year, and run out of town, mainly because he lost the national championship game!?! How stupid was that?
I really think folks need to come to grips on reality. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Fans will come back as soon as the team starts winning no matter who is the HC. And yes, Mizzou WILL break ground on the 90 million dollar project WITH Odom as HC. The money was raised and donated to the program during his coaching tenure, and will be done probably during his coaching stay.

20 years as an assistant, and never a HC. There’s usually a reason for that, much like Kul has never been tapped as a D coordinator. Some coaches are just better as a coach. Some aren’t cut out to be HC’s. And that’s OK! Nothing wrong with being 1 of the top arse’t coaches in the country.

He’s not getting fired in year 2 of his command. If ?Sterk did that, no decent coach in their right mind would ever apply at Mizzou for a job ever again.
Guess what
It's not.

We’ll see. I’d bet a cold Pepsi he gets 3 years minimum.

Depends on how the season ends. If Mizzou goes 4-2 over the next 6 games. Which is possible based on how Mizzou has played the last 2 games and based on how the next 6 opponents have played, then I agree that BO will be back.
At 3-3 it would depend on how Mizzou loses. Anything less than that BO will be fired.

My eyes glaze over whenever I read any of your posts.

At this point I can't tell if he's trolling or wearing rose colored glasses.

BO had ZERO to do with the $90 mil. That was 100% Sterk... To suggest otherwise is beyond laughable.
I almost pity you at this point.

Crouch is my #1.
Get in line. Crouch will be the top target for every P5 coaching hire.
Chad Morris will be up there.
Wilson, Norvell, Littrell & Brown will also be in demand mid major coaches.
Fritz and Candle are other mid major coaches that could be options.

Thought I knew some of the hot coaches...but guess I missed Crouch. Who's Crouch?

I'm 100% convinced that idiot is "Supreme" on Mizzou Talk. For sure. He's a cancerous turd.

I think they are talking about Frost.

OK, Frost. Thanks. That makes sense.
But if it's Frost that they're talking about, the Nebraska fans are already sending him links to real estate listings in the Lincoln area.

Not suggesting Odom had anything to do with the money. I am suggesting that the project will go on even with Odom still the coach.

Your exclamation points have convinced me. You are either a troll or 13 year old girl.

A thirteen year old girl could come up with better material though. He's something else entirely.
