I'm still on Frank Wilson.

He's a guy we should be able to get, and of all the candidates I think are realistic for our current situation I think he has the best chance of success.

Thoughts?

Well, I don't think that's going to happen this year, but I'll play along.

If BO gets fired, I think our next coach needs to be a name coach with proven success. All these young coaches aren't going to be able to recruit any better than GP or Odom. Our program is obviously way down. It's going to take a huge amount of successful recruiting for 2-3 years to turn this around. I don't think a youngster will be able to sell it enough to high profile recruits. Hell, its hard enough to get those recruits here when we win.
Just look at .Texas. They've got the best hotbed of talented players in the country, and the state university hasn't won for a few years now. Charlie Strong couldn't fix it, and he was supposed to be the best HC prospect in the country.

I'd almost take John L. Smith. I'm done with Odom ball.

I just don't want to hire someone for the sake of making a change, and waste another 3-5 years of Mizzou football. Get it right next time, or dont make the change till you can.

I am going to be JQ optimistic and phrase it as he would. While it may be a pipe dream, it is being reported that after his return visit we are now in Brock Olivo's top 7. It may be tough beating out Rock Bridge and App State but James Foster is in his ear, so am going to say he will verbal very soon.

I would honestly like to see Charlie Stong. Getting an Afro=American Coach could shore up those recruiting against our racial image. He has been a winner at every stop besides Tejas and that was following Mack.

Strong is the other name that gets me somewhat excited.

Brohm, Clawson, Babers, Strong, Ronald McDonald.

Honestly any of those guys would be better than what we have.

It's just amazing how undisciplined and soft this team is.

I hope something changes that brings y'all back to at least mid tier respectability

I enjoyed your run of early success and hope to see you do well moving forward

From what I saw yesterday, Mizzou can win a few games

In fact, I will be surprised if you don't beat Arkansas

plus Vanderbilt and maybe even Tennessee or Florida

Bowl eligibility is very much still on the table for you guys

Should have 2 wins in next 2 games

Your team showed heart and left it all out there. Play like that and split your games with the Vols & Gators and the post season is no longer a pipe dream

Good luck on the rest of the season

I really don't think you are far off. The rest of the teams on our schedule just aren't any good.

It's more than wins and losses at this point though. At least I think it is. The relationship with the team and fans is pretty toxic.

I just can't envision this working out.

The rest of a schedule is a joke, if Barry can't go 4-2 he deserves to be fired.

None of the remaining teams we play can score.

Idaho and UConn should be easy Ws

Vanderbilts defense is gone.

UT is a dumpster fire

Florida sucks but we probably lose

Arkansas should be a W

5-7 is realistic, if Odom goes 4-8 again he should be fired. If he loses to Idaho or UConn he needs to resign.

I don’t think that’s a bad call. We may need to look at him. Just because things didn’t go well in Texas doesn’t mean he can’t fix it. Think Joe Torre coaching Cardinals and yankees. Not so much success here but HOF there.
You’re right that an African American coach can undercut the way other teams recruit against us.

I wouldn't say any of those games SHOULD be a win, but they are all winnable.

Our defense is so horrendous any team that "can't score" will score against us, so I have zero expectations.

6-0 or 0-6 would be surprising. Nothing in between would be imo.

Do we tell Richt he can have the job that he probably wanted more than any other so long ago? He can even brings Kuligowski with him if he wants.

This team plays far too stupidly to have any chance of a bowl. It stems from the coaching staff not knowing how to get these guys to play intelligent mistake free football and that's not going to change. They'll find a way to lose with penalties, turnovers, special teams mistakes, and missed defensive assignments. Hell, they'll probably find new innovative ways to lose for the rest of the Odom tenure.

I honestly don’t care. Sterk is smarter than me on this. He’ll figure it out. Keep Odom, fire Odom. Whatever. We’re years away from competing either way.

We need some one who can recruit, and keep best players home, and bring in talent from around the sec.

Fire everyone but the OL and TE coaches.

In Sterk we trust.

The guy has done nothing but good here, so I trust him to make the correct decision
