Howell is probably my favorite. Can be an immediate starter and has All American potential.

He was a big get also.

I may have to go back on my favorite. I just watched some game highlights of Nate Howard. Holy cow, I can see why Wisky was wanting him. I was impressed with this kids motor, nose for the ball and just over all sound play. From what I seen in the film, he will not disappoint. He likes to hit and is just a little NASTY! I like it! I kind of feel for the QB getting pancaked in this film around the 45 second mark of the film. They have reloaded well at DE with this guy.

Beckner is obviously bigger and still a freakish athlete but he's more of a gap plugger who can shed blocks. If he all of the services continued to look at him as only a DE, he probably would have been a consensus #1 player in the nation. But when you take his skill set and start looking at him as a DT, he doesn't stand out quite as much, as in only a top 5 or 10 player in the nation.

Here's some Beckner film for you Reedus......

Man, just watched Justin Smiths film. He's neck in neck with Howard. They'll have to share the top spot. They're both my favorite.

This kid should see the field soon. Once he does, Mauk and Smith are going to make a dangerous pair. He fit's Mauks style of play perfectly. Tall and deceptively fast with good hands.

Chase Abbington. He has been one of the RB's I'm still excited about also. He's the bigger back we need if Steward can't go. He'll be fun to watch in the SEC. Nice change of pace from the smaller scat backs we usually run.

My favorite is probably LB Terez Hall, followed closely by Jonathon Johnson.

It's awesome isn't it? They're so deep with great athletes you could literally pick from 20 guys.

Ah. That sucks. I was hoping those links would work. I should have gotten them from youtube. If I get a chance, I'll try to work on that tonight. You gotta see some Justin Smith film. This kid is gonna suprise some people I think. Same with Howard.

Thats interesting. I'll have to check out some film. I also read on PM this morning that the coaching staff stayed on the phone with him till the weeeee hours of the morning to keep him from flipping at the last second to the Dawgs. They worked their asses off and got him to stay in the end.

I know. This years recruiting numbers may not jump out at anyone, but I think it's totally underrated.

he picked out during the announcement that TBJ's grandmother had a gold shirt on underneath.

I noticed that too. And she tried to move her scarf to cover it.

Cusumano interviewing Sunkett. Love the following up with the coach and keep the love flowing.

Huge deal for the community, not just Beckner or the school. TBJ is a homebody, close to parents and family. Kind of knew all along. Starting as a sophomore TBJ said he wanted to be a Tiger. FSU did push the envelope. Night before, confirmed that he knew what coach he wanted to play for since he was a sophomore.

Regarding perceived rift/disconnect. Had problems to iron out. A lot of it was rumors, but him and GP sat down due to Demetrius Johnson getting them together. Both expressed their concerns. Both upfront and honest. ESL can definitely be a pipeline. Look at the Mizzou track record graduating their athletes. Wants that so that kids can come back and be positive impact on community.

Strong in school, 9 hours over summer, then 15-18 hours in fall and hopefully graduate and join in the summer. Will play this fall so will have 3 years of eligibility.

TBJ will be fine on the test.

Regarding Thomas. May be best player ever coached. Started as freshman. Over 1200 as a freshman. Over 1000 this year despite playing QB. Now the #3 kid in his class. Doing things as a sophomore that Hawthorne didn't do until a senior. Still has room to grow. Another humble kid. Mizzou offered before he was even enrolled in high school. Definitely building a good relationship with him. GP and Ford have done a great job. Right in the running. 5'11" 175 4.4 40. Focused on books. FSU, tOSU, USC, Auburn, UF, Oregon, Bama. Nearly everyone has already offered him.

Even though I think ESPN is weak at rating players, I think it means to the kids more to be ranked higher there. That is a mighty bright spotlight. We're now ranked 18 at ESPN #22 at 247 and #26 at rivals.
based on Mizzou's on field success over the last ten years and the low rankings Rivals always seems to give them I would say ESPN does a better job.

Not that it matters at all, but I was with TBJ cousin this weekend, (his dad was on stage with TBJ) and he said the final rankings went mizzou FSU OSU then AU. Also what was interesting was all the males wanted FSU and mom and grandma wanted Mizzou. I thought AU was gonna be the final 2. O well!
