With all of the Walmart $ connected to MIZ the fact $ is an issue has always kind of been mystifying.

$57MM AD revenue in 2011, $107MM revenue in 2018...but not enough $$.

You would think with Kroenke's connections to MIZ that he might contribute...hell he probably does and we just don't know it...but at this point maybe he feels he owes us poor bastards after the Ram's move. Sterk needs to rally the big $ donors and shoot for the stars for next round of coaching hires. Easier said than done

Mizzou has never had a money issue. The culture in MO is more about you don't spend it unless you have to. Our AD has historically operated in the black. They are conservative with the money and that is a good thing.

Our programs aren't really lacking for anything despite not spending nearly as much. For example:
1) Nicest on campus basketball arena in the country
2) Football amenities are as good as anyone
3) One of the top 5 or 10 softball stadiums in the country

These are just a few examples. We should applaud our AD for not just throwing money around recklessly. All of our coaches get paid market rates.

Throwing money at a hire is no guarantee of success.

Look at the overall athletic budgets of the top programs. They dwarf ours. It’s not just coaches salary. It’s the money being invested into the program overall. We don’t have enough donors. Our fans don’t go to games for the most part.

We just don’t have the foundation of a top program.

The former is more than likely true. He's a turd, but he isn't stupid.

Wow, good to know. SLU's in a perfect position to upgrade their program to DI too, but they're more focused on men's basketball which is understandable.
