whats the deal with UGA fans ?

they jelly or something? UGA posters seem butthurt towards Mizzou posters.

UGA fans IRL don't have the slightest thing to be angry/jealous/upset/mad/etc about towards missouri. We have no reason to be. The only animosity that exists from our end (which isn't all that much) is because of the trolls in your fanbase that incite virtual riots trying to rile people up. And mizzou isn't the only one, AU has a long and illustrious history of this towards UGA. Arkansas is the king of it on here towards all teams, not any one team in particular.
I guess, if I were to speak for everyone (which I don't), I would say that it just gets annoying hearing the same drivel spouted all the time. Most of us I think by this point have learned to tune it out and just move on to another thread. But I assure you that outside of secrant.com there are no ill feelings from our fanbase towards yours.

I wouldn't judge anything by what happens on the Rant.
The Georgia posters (especially those who don't just post on the team board) are far more sane and congenial than many other fan bases here.
Now Jefferson/Barberitos. That's a whole nother kettle of crazy awesomeness.

Meh. Some Mizzou posters do their fair share of trolling and inciting fans from other schools too.

UGA alum are some of the best people I've met IRL, I have many friends and do business with them frequently. I will say that the ones I know didn't try to hide their displeasure with Mizzou joining the SEC, which I'm very ok with and found humorous.

Most of the UGA fans are just fine. They definitely have had a hard time accepting the fact that we beat them last season, but with the steady stream of new Mizzou posters finding their way to the Rant and starting attention whoring threads, I guess I can understand the perceived animosity.

It is 100% this. Of course losing to someone doesn't feel good, but it's not the biggest factor.
Look at this way. We lost to vanderbilt last year. With missouri, at least yall won the east, beat several big time teams, and have a recent history of success. There is absolutely no excuse for UGA to ever lose to vandy in football. None. But how many UGA fans do you see bring up that game? How many of us talk crap about vandy? None. Zero. See where I'm going? That was a FAR more embarrassing loss for us, but it never gets brought up because there are no vandy fans on here to constantly bring it back up. Missouri fans (not all of course, just a select few) feel like rehashing that game on a weekly basis, so obviously when it gets brought up UGA fans will participate in the thread. So then in your (missouri posters') eyes, it looks like we're "butthurt".

WG - I'll take that as a good thing then. I'd hate to see the Mizzou numbers on the rant fall to Vandy levels. The other thing it tells me, and it's somewhat intimated in your post, is that Mizzou isn't just seen as a doormat program like it might have been the first year or like Vandy, with all due respect to the Vandy fans.

If the SECR didn't exist, I don't know a single UGA fan who would even really ever think about missouri, much less hate them or talk crap about them. It's the killz's of the world that intentionally stir the pot that make it seem like we have an issue with yall.

Didn't mean to imply y'all have an issue with Mizzou. Don't necessarily think that at all (outside of the JDawg and Barbiturate).

I think your analysis is pretty spot-on, WG. I've found most Dawg fans to be very cool. Def know what you mean about Arky fans

I tend to think about opponents that we play, during the season, the week before and after we play them. I assure you that no UGA fans that I associate with in real life cared much about missouri after the game, especially since we followed that with a far more embarrassing loss, then a bye week, then our big rivalry game with UF.
