Mizzou may have a better receiving core, but the OL will make a difference.

The pundits would say Clemson has a better WR core and better RB stable.

I like our Mizzou boys but going by the results on the field you'd have to agree with the pundits.

I really think people are putting too much hope in Bryant. This team will be as good as the "team" is and Bryant will have very little impact on that unless he throws a lot of pics or has a lot of fumbles.

Rucker and Coffman tied for the team lead with 47 receptions in 2005.

Try again.

You think this proves a point? No. It doesn't. I was there every game watching in person. Ricker was a solid player but he was not a stud like Coffman. Coffman got a lot more attention than Rucker and still caught the same amount of balls. You really need to look deeper than this but as you only posted one stat, I'm sure you already knew you had no idea what you were talking about.

This is stupid talk. He caught 40 for 413 in 2005 running curls and outs on the boundary because Smith's lack of arm strength couldn't beat cover 2. He caught 48 for 829 in 2006 with a QB that could hit the gap.

You didn't refute my point. Franklin had a lot of drops. You didn't post that. You also didn't post how many times Franklin ran the wrong route. He was very prone to that early on. None of that was Brad Smith's fault.

quote:

I guess you think Smith's career 5.9 YPA is all on his skill talent, don't you.

"all"? Hardly. Was he the most accurate? No. I refuted your point about Smith's arm strength. Notice how much "other" stuff you had to go to in order to make yourself feel better? That is because you couldn't refute my point so you made new ones.

This speaks volumes. I accept your humble admission of defeat on this day. Personal attacks are nothing but admission of defeat.

LT Mitch Hyatt(5* and #2 OL in the 15 Class) will go in the 1st round

Hyatt isn't going in the first round. He is a 3-4 round pick at best and could fall to the 5th because of his lack of strength.

Clemson allowed 45 TFLs (31 vs ACC opponents)

Missouri allowed 49 TFLs (33 vs SEC opponents)

Clemson allowed 14 sacks (11 vs ACC opponents)

Missouri allowed 13 sacks (12 vs SEC opponents)

You are going to have use something other than recruiting starts to back your point up. The SEC is a better LOS league and that isn't arguable.

2 first year starters next year will be interesting though.

Last 2 years Mizzou has basically started the exact same 5 guys for almost every game, that is unheard of.

Cool story. This means nothing.

Don't be ignorant. Rucker was a bonafide weapon in 2005. He was a voted Honorable Mention All B12 by the coaches over Coffman.

But feel free to back your assertion about the 2005 passing game/concepts and how defenses handled the inside receiver on the boundary/field vs a 5 wide/Quads. Also discuss the difference in targets between Rucker and Coffman.

What was Franklin's catch rate in 2005?

LOL. Smith averaged 5.9 YPA and 9.6 yds per completed pass. His arm was a rag. Any argument otherwise is foolish.

you started your post out with one and then get the butthurts when it is returned. Lol.

Carry on

I think the transition from Adams to White at RT will be seamless.

Cook drew a few penalties but there was little lost in the run game when he got reps in place of KP. Brad Davis has his room in check.

I think Albert O will get a draft grade to return to college.
He’s an elite athlete. But wasn’t very good as a route runner. Defenses should have to double him to cover him in the passing game, but that hasn’t been the case.

If he does go Swinson, Parker and Scales will be the guys in the TE passing game.

Might be waiting to see what Smith decides to do. Fant will be the first TE taken.

My take on Brad Smith. Forget the stats. If he could make the throws he wouldn't have had to switch positions in the NFL.

Agreed. Loved what he did for the program but he couldn't get the RPMs on the ball to beat a team from the pocket.

Don’t be surprised if Buford makes some noise at RG

Are you expecting Simms to leave early? RG is locked down by him

You know what I meant, but now that it’s being brought up I would not be shocked.

I would be suprised if Buford is in the lineup next season, but if he is better than I expect then great.

I'd bet on Delgado or Foster before a true Fr at guard.
