Get Jontay to stay for his sophomore season. Then add Ramey or a juco PG like Williams, and a grad transfer combo guard and next season can be better than this one.

Am I the only one that thinks that we need a forward that can take the ball to the hole?(dribble it to get there) Not counting Santos.

There’s some internal options for forwards that can use the bounce.
Jontay with an offseason to work on his game and athleticism will be able to take defenders off the dribble. I also think that smith could fill in here if he retains his athleticism. KA kept trying to use him as a 5, which is not who he is. Smith is a 3/4 combo that’s athletic enough and skilled enough to help there.
Puryear is also quick enough to create, he just needs to think more about passing off the dribble. Right now Puryear drives mostly to create his own shot.

I met him at the Braggin’ Rights game. He seemed like a smart kid and well spoken guy. He’s also a lot taller in person.

He's a smooth guy. Good shooter also. He has to shoulder the scoring load for his team, but he still takes good shots for the most part. He's a good all around player. Handles the ball well too. He's going to be a good one.
I will say he's going to have to play much harder on the defensive end if he wants to play for Cuonzo. To be fair though, every offensive set they run goes through him so that could be wearing him out a little.
I like his game a lot though. He plays smart and that's a very underrated attribute.

He had 44 of his team's 63 points in Whitfield's surprisingly easy Sectional victory over Park Hills Central.
Anybody see the game?

Think he can get us 12 a game next yr? We will need it. I get that he’s not playing the big boys in high school all the time, but the kid fills it up for sure. I think 10 a game is completely reasonable with bumps in the road for a frosh of his caliber. As the roster stands right now, the kid will have every opportunity and is needed to contribute rather quickly. We will have IMO the best returning front court in the SEC and both have tons of room for growth.

No. There will be 3 double figure scorers next season Jontay, Tilmon and Santos.
We will need Watson, Puryear and 2 newcomers to score between 6-8 each per game.

How many schollies does Mizzou have open for next year if MPJ comes back?

1 if MPJ comes back. I would be shocked if he comes back though.
