Saw Bull transferring. Little surprised with Negus transferring. Thought Negus had potential. Oh well.

Negus, please.

Webster Chan is terrible, so this is good news.

I wasn't as down on NWC as others. Thought the game was way too fast for both him and Jank this year, particularly once we got away from playing the cream puffs of the schedule. He was also being asked to play out of position many times when he went in. Not a huge loss with him leaving but I thought he had the potential to develop into a decent player. Bull isn't surprising at all.

NWC made me nervous every time he was in the game. He got better towards the end of the season, and he was young.

There was potential there though. He got a lot of PT for a young guy.

College basketball is kind of becoming a joke the way coaches and players move around so much.

It does appear that decommitting and transferring is becoming much more common than it used to be. A certain team on the rant made a bit of noise about Haith using so many transfers and now they're contemplating 3 or 4 JUCOs.

I also found it interesting that for the 2nd time in as many years, a highly regarded player was barred from being released to play at Mizzou. The Pitt transfer who ended up at UNLV last year and Purvis at NC State this year.

WRT Bull. How bad are you when you're behind Lil' Haith?

I do have a suspicion (just based on happenstance, perhaps) that Bull may have been involved in Dixon's issues at least indirectly. They left him on the team so as to avoid more media issues and told him he was going to have to move along next year. Just a complete speculation on my part.

That non-xfer list includes Cincy. Apparently, NC St. Doesn't want him going to only two of the non-con teams they are playing in the near future. All the other non-con teams are ok I guess.

frick why don't they just say he can not play him against them in the regular season when we play (if he were to come here)

He'd probably be ineligible to play in that game anyway, depending on when its scheduled.

Xfer rules are convoluted, but they're there for a reason. Especially considering some of these kids would play at a different school every year if they could.

I'm looking at you Jabari...

I think this is a not-so-subtle way of accusing a school of tampering with a kid and inappropriately influencing his decision. It's basically Gottfried saying, "I see you, Coach Fuller. And you can't have Purvis." I'm not sure how much of that is driven by a perception of Fuller and how much is driven by fact. It's probably somewhere in between.

i'm assuming the Mizzou v. NCST schedule agreement would be a home and home over 2 years so he would be eligible. Does seem odd that we are on that list though. I don't read much into it but coaching is a tight knit fraternity and wouldn't be surprised if some coaches aren't a huge fan of how active we are in recruiting transfers.

Also I am bummed about NWC. He definitely had more than his fair share of struggles but I was pretty high on his upside the next few years. Once again we are gonna have an inexperienced team with several transfer guys.

Really hope we can't use the "everyone is new and hasn't played together so you can't blame the coach for not winning as much as the talent would suggest" excuse. As a coach I understand that excuse and agree with it to an extent but at some point if we really can't get over that 30 games in we either aren't developing chemistry the way we should, or we shouldn't take very many transfers.

NWC and Bull were going to get buried on the depth chart I think they knew eventually Haith was going to push them out for some kids that can actually play at this level
