They are calling it day to day, so you wouldn't THINK it's super serious if they are labeling it like that.

I’m taking this with a grain of salt.

Cuonzo won’t give us a clear answer on MPJ’s health. First it was a back, then a hip, and now a leg? This is the second time he pulled the “I’m not a doctor, so I don’t know what to tell ya” bullshite. What the hell is going on?

The Porters don't look too worried about. Pull back on the melt for now.

It's possible that Zo doesn't like to give out medical information. He wouldn't be the first coach to operate like that.

Bass: In what context was "fiasco" used? Determining the extent of the injury? Covering up something else?

Twitter is hilarious right now. Go read some of Gabe's mentions. LOL

Lots of silliness, for sure. But those of us with any sense know that somehow, some way...Kansas fans were involved.

Hmm, a bad hip pointer possibly? Its not ideal to have him on the bench for so long but if he's back in January then he should be up to speed by the SEC tourney.

They’re saying he is suffering from a sciatic nerve issue

FUUUUUUK, I HATE HIP INJURIES!!! They are never, ever simple when it comes to athletes (Bo Jackson will be back, its just a bruised hip.) For this kids sake, take the year off so swelling and damage doesn't occur in the nerve sheath. frick frick frick!

As one who's had several bouts of that, I'll be an optimist. The bad news is, it can be painful as hell...and linger for some time. In my cases, it would be a bitch for one or two weeks, then resolve itself entirely (until years later when I'd aggravate it again).

Sciatica originates in the back, not the hip or leg. Let's hope he tweaked his back a bit and it soon settles down.

Then again, we don't really know if that's his trouble.

I doubt it if what I’m hearing is true. One think we can all agree on is that he’s not headed to Utah this Thursday. Utah looks good, no MPJ, and our first true road game. I have a feeling this will be our first heart stopper game of the year. I’m gonna have to get out the ole oxygen tank now that we are relevant again. I predict much yelling at the TV in a few days.

I'll chime in with my opinion. I ruptured two disks four years ago. I avoided surgery and just rehabbed. I still have flare ups here and there and likely will for the rest of my time. I have a PT who will do manual therapy on me if I get down in my back. It's amazing and just two sessions can set me straight. I'd give just about anything to have that sort of care available to me daily. The amount of medical care at MPJ's disposal makes me believe he'll be on the court sooner than later.

That said.....get it 100% first.

Lacerated cremaster muscle. Going to be debilitating as the temperature continues to drop.

I’m hearing the same thing as TB. Something about nerves in his back that’s also giving him pain in his hip. He had problems with his back before the season started, right? That probably explains why they didn’t want him sitting on the bench and why we kept hearing about back, hip, and leg all at once. Doesn’t it usually take a month for something like that the heal?

But you're hearing it from TB?

Unsubstantiated internet rumor.

Come on my man. Hold off on the melt for awhile.
