UCF and Temple are good. I’ll pose a question though. Geist gets a ton of flack in here for late game situations. Is that due to him or the play drawn up and execution? This is a good win for this team. UCF has legit tourney expectations.

Geist has played his leader role so far.

It’s because in normal situations Geist isn’t the guy you give the ball to late in possessions/games and tell him to win it for you.

I’ve seen Geist fall apart many times late in games, but he saved the team on this day. The play was drawn up for Mark Smith coming off a screen but he got caught up in the wash.

We really got lucky because that would have been another bumbled late game situation if Geist didn’t bail out out. That was right after a 5 sec call when we still had a TO

Geist has been good late in games this season. Mizzou has 3 wins because of his clutch play late in games. He was also really good against Temple

I was speaking more to the rest of his career.

He hit a couple late 3s against Temple, but he also had two plays where he was completely out of control and turned it over.

I am no Geist fan at all. I will give him credit for not making the head scratching turnovers that I saw last year. If he's done it, I have missed it.

We are not good.

I missed the 1st half (putting up Christmas lights); and thank God for that.

Still don't know why there's such hate for Geist.

I don’t think there’s hate for him. He’s just physically not able to do a lot of things that D1 PGs should be able to do.

He’s earned his Tiger stripes and I’m glad he’s here (there’s nothing behind him except a very very very raw Pinson).

He’s physically played just fine this year and last...

No, he hasn’t. Because he can’t. He is not fast enough to be a P5 point guard.

The only reason he’s out there is we have no one else. I do think Cuonzo mismanaged the PG situation a bit last year. But Roberts and the other kid whose name I’m not going to look up weren’t nearly as mentally strong as Geist.

Well he's gone for 18,11,24 and 21 his last 4 games against P5 teams so not really sure your statement of being too slow holds any water. He's tough and gritty in addition. This team may not be a tourney team, but their 3 losses are good ones. UCF is a good win and Oregon St has quietly gone 6-1 as well. They played K State fairly solid minus the end of the first half and Temple. Lost handily on the road at Hilton, no shame in that. Some of you folks watch college basketball and think that offense is the only part of the game. Coaches that build teams from the defensive side first in basketball are how you win eventually. Unless you have far superior talent, which isn't the case right now. Although there is some sprinkled around this roster to be sure.

No, I don’t. But we’re almost Kim Anderson bad on offense this year.

Our d will keep us in games.

Maybe in total scoring, but this team is way more efficient than any KA team. If they quit turning the ball over so much the offense will actually be pretty good. Not something I thought would happen after Jontay got hurt.

Any news on Watson injury? Need to get him going a bit. Pickett has been a nice surprise. Like his game a lot. Mitchell Smith played pretty well last night also.

The other guy was Harris that transferred out. Who isn’t playing much more for North Carolina St. than he did here.

Harris is playing less than he did here, but N.C. State has some real talent at guard.
