Damn, Ive been a pretty big Cuonzo defender but this will be a huge mark against him if Jackson goes on to be a solid player at another P5. There was no reason for Jackson not to be playing in a lost season when his less talented freshman counterpart started 26 games

He doesn't play defense and he is totally out of shape. He has good athletic ability, but seems lost on the floor and fouls more than Tilmon and that's why his time was cut down. That gives us another scholly.

What this team lacks sorely is talent. He had talent. Big loss imo. Defense is important but I'm getting a bet worn out on the mantra. I fear that we are going to be able to hold teams to 40 but lose by 10.

Hes a freshman

That is as much of Martins and Nics fault as Tray's.

What this team lacks is a legit coach too.

No excuse for this imo. In none of Martins seasons has he proven that his system is worth sacrificing talent over. Don’t have any wing talent coming in. Always said they needed to find tray more minutes and then never did it. Just another tick on the clock for cuonzo.

Can't wait to see what he does with that. I'm sure it will be amazing

All these kids transferring will just get worse when they allow one freebie.

Kids like Jackson who cant see the floor because of themselves will be transferring all over the country.

This basketball program is screwed. I thought the Kim years were an outlier. It looks like these lean times will continue for quite a while.

Chill, things aren’t looking bright, but to compare it to kim’s era is another thing. Doesn’t look anywhere close to that

Granted we had scores but it felt his first year was far more about scoring than defense.

Eh. It’s the same problems.
Not great recruiting.
The kids who come don’t stay.
The product on the court doesn’t get the fans in the building.
And it’s going absolutely nowhere.

but talent and overall coaching is no where close, and thats whats important here. Martins worst years are better than Kims best, thats my point

Ok. Martin hasn't produced any better results than Kim when you factor in how much he is getting paid and how his contract has become an albatross.

I would rather have Kim right now because at least you could can him and try to start fresh. We are stuck in this less than mediocre quagmire.

In his first year with the most talented roster he will have in his tenure at Mizzou.

Again, so how does this compare to kim Anderson days. Look, I’m no Martin fan, but he’s still on a different level compared

Martin is doing better than KA but that doesn't mean he's done a good job.
