Eh. It’s the same problems. Not great recruiting. The kids who come don’t stay. The product on the court doesn’t get the fans in the building. And it’s going absolutely nowhere.
all of that.

not quite as bad is not the same thing as good

Let's look at the guys that have left.

1. A J Roberts (went to Texas Tech) he never played for them
2. Blake Harris (went to N C St) he left there, also
3. C. Guess (?) haven't heard anything on him since he left Mizzou

Now, where are these guys, now? Looks like these guys didn't play defense and didn't want to come off the bench if they weren't going to start.

M. McKinney thought that he was better or just as good as D. Smith and X. Pinson.

T. Jackson had good athletic ability, but was lost on the floor and fouled more than Tilmon, was in bad physical condition and easily got winded and just watched guys jump over him for rebounds as he stood there flat-footed.

What's ironic is I bet you could take those 5 guys and they'd beat our starting 5 next year. They'd be missing some height but once Tilmon gets 3 fouls in 5 minutes, he'll be a non-factor anyways.

I believe Roberts and Harris are no longer playing D1.

but talent and overall coaching is no where close, and thats whats important here. Martins worst years are better than Kims best, thats my point

If you take out the porters, the talent isn't very different at all.

Do you think Cuonzo should get credit for the porters?

Kim also had NCAA sanctions to deal with. From a macro level, there isn't a whole lot of difference. The SEC might have been worse this year than any year of Kim's tenure. It is hard to do an apples/apples comparison between coaches who don't go against the exact same teams.

And neither should half of our roster.

That’s simply not true. Tray showed great promise when he was actually allowed into the rotation. Enormous upside, the team sucked for the most part and Martin refused to play him.

One of his biggest issues is he can’t figure out a rotation with his roster. He’s too obsessed with guys getting floor burns in practice and not what happens in games.

This was a major wasted opportunity. No other way to spin it.

When it became apparent that Cuonzo wasn’t going to effectively utilize Tray this year, the fans on Mizzou boards began to speculate that Tray wouldn’t return. I thought that Cuonzo had to have a better handle on the situation. That he knew something so that Tray was safe and would return next year despite not being used on a shitty team. But I was wrong. He really doesn’t know what he’s doing.
