This looks like it's going to be between Horn and Pyne in the spring.

That's the worse option off all. Horn has played zip, and Pyne was essentially retired before Drink settled for him. If Drink writes off 2025 and puts all his chips in on a Freshman 4 star he will lose alot of his goodwill.

Horn or Pyne?

Laughably pathetic.

Especially after doubling season ticket prices

No it's still open but we are running out of options fast.

I have a question, why are we limited to 1 year transfers? Can't Zollers compete for the position? He's a 4 star, not a generational talent. There's only a 33% chance he has an impact. There is some young dual threat QBs available.

I agree. It's foolish to put all your eggs into one basket if you can afford not to. Players these days realize that, or they should. Zollers will get over it.

Also, players still have a couple weeks to enter. If Drink sees a fit we all know contact will be made. If the talent and money are there, we'll get a QB to compete.

He can compete but he’s coming off a season ending injury. I’m not sure when he’s 100% cleared.

We’ve got two guys coming off of season-ending injuries and a guy who can’t see over the O-line. I would expect there to be some urgency to recruiting a capable option to (at the very worst) fall back on.

Drew Lock is the only Mizzou QB in the last 40 years with an arm like Zollers. His leg may not be ready to compete this fall but he has an elite arm.

Who knows what Horn decides to do this spring. If he chooses FB fulltime over slinging the pill, the offensive ceiling might be determined by the answers Jones comes up with at OT. If they pivot off QB and land an impact left tackle things could work out.

The steps that Roberts and Lacy take this offseason will have a significant impact on the offensive identity as well.

Well that makes me feel better. Pyne cannot be an option. Did you guys know he was enrolling at Notre Dame for classes and had quit football when Drink called. Drink is good in the living room but he sucks with QBs in the portal.

Starting freshmen rarely works though.

Who was the last great freshmen QB?

Raiola looked like shite in large parts of last season.

Lagway looked mediocre at best.

Sayin didn’t play.

Nico Iamaleava was just okay as a RS freshmen.

Arnold looked like shite as RSF.

Zollers won’t be ready.

Eli better have a fricking wild card up his sleeve because I won’t be watching Drew fricking Pyne start at QB.

Sellers at South Carolina, Lagway always looked good, the rest of the team couldn't get their shite together, Van Buren played well considering he wasn't supposed to play and the team was terrible, the kid at Oklahoma especially considering OU didn't employ a QB coach (dumbasses), and the Duke kid was ok. So it's possible for a freshman to excel.

Did any of you expected a 11-2 season last year with Cook as the starting quarterback? I trust Drinkwitz's decision on whoever is ever going to be the starting quarterback for Mizzou. Even Chase Daniel said Cook won the job. Many of you didn't like it.

I wish that video of Zollers didn't have all the music in the back ground. I bet you could hear the ball rip out of his hand on those first two throws.

wild card

The wild card is 45 rushing attempts per game with Roberts and whoever Luper decides is the #2. Roberts looks ready to be the everydown guy like LR3.

OK, I propose we roll with Zollers and throw some NIL money at the Alabama RB Justice Haynes that just hit the portal.

Coooooool. Michigan style football is exactly what I want with the WRs we have. To waste yet again.

If you want over the top plays, you have to force the defense into single high looks. You don't need 30+ passing attempts to have an effective passing offense.

Michigan averaged 8.9 YPA and and won a natty. I'd take it.
