Easy for other teams chasing the
same transfer QB's we are after to truthfully say "you want to waste your talent with Drinkwitz?".

Horn is the only talent he has and one of the few throws he had he got Bannister lit up.

We don't need a top guy, just a competent QB. There is real WR talent waiting.

Seriously, if you are a talented QB, why do you come to play for an arrogant little twerp who never played football and does not know what he is doing?

The only advantage for choosing Mizzou is if you are talented and there is a new OC, there is a shite ton of talent to throw to. All with top end speed. We even have a 6'2" sure handed slot receiver.

So a new OC is key.

I can’t believe Cook threw it 47 goddamn times for 226 yards.

Pathetic.

Well of you starting RB can't challenge the edges and you lose yardage running it off tackle, then you pass, pass, pass.

It's not like we have quicker RBs sitting on the bench or anything.

He loves to run east/west

I think you missed the point. He threw it that many times and still couldn’t reach 300 yards.

I get tired of defending Cook but there were several 4th and 4 yards with plays that were bombs to a depleted receiving core.

Cook is one of the fastest "straight line" qbs we've had and he could have ran for the first with the right call.

The absence of an OC and the normal receiving crew were pretty evident.

I think we win with the normal squad out there.

Given that he's only gotten 19 carries and has a nearly 5 YPC average ...

I guess we'll just have to take your and Drinks word on this like we do with the Cook and Horn controversy.

I don’t care that we lost. I care that we look like a team that has no idea on offense against a team that gave up over 400 yards on average this year.

OC is the key. Get one first before do anything else. How else will you attract top players on offense? Need get an OC that is good enough to run the offense. Might get one that has little or no experience. But from schools that have good offense. Trying to hire an OC from another school might be harder unless you get from lower level that are in the SEC footprint. Also, might be waiting after the bowl games are over.
