No one knows who we'll hire. I'm guessing as of now it's not Crean.

Yes I know. Sterk doesn't even know right now. That's the point.

Ok. But who are you guessing it is?

I don't have a clue. My usual sources haven't heard much of anything. I was told not to count out Frank Martin but that was weeks ago. And then I was told last week that we'd talked with Crean. That's all I've heard.

I agree. It's hard to hire a good coach. Inertia is viewed as bad. But stability is good.

It's difficult to guarantee the next coach will be better than Crean.

Tony Bennett

I think he gets tired of being in the ACC where Virginia will have to have great years not to be the 5th or 6th best team.

This isn't happening. I'm a Mizzou fan, but why in God's name would he come here?

He could have any of these open jobs. Doubt he would take this one and maybe none of them. Will take a better job for him to leave.

Honestly, I've never given him much thought, my wife plays his album with Lady Gaga a lot, he's old, but sure, why the hell not.

What the hell, I'll go outside the box and say we do the ultimate F-you to Mack Rhodes and hire away his basketball coach....Columbia > Waco. Scott Drew.

Fine, you want out side the box thinkers, Lavall Jordon or Pat Kelsey. More likely Pat than Lavall tho
