A few short hours from my Minnesota home sits Vermillion South Dakota. The town's 11,000 inhabitants are, doubtless, proud of their fine university.
The school brings in athletes from all over the country who are lured by howling coyotes and the chance to wear cowboy boots. The team boasts 20 players from Florida...and even a smattering of Canadians...who are likely pleased to know that they can find a WalMart and McDonalds just an hour or so up the road in Sioux Falls.
Coming off a solid 3-win season, the Yotes can't be taken lightly as they face Mizzou.
I predict a close, nail-biting game despite Vegas odds.

Well, except for all the points they gave up, yes, they were very good--several players made tackles, and they did have fine looking helmets.

Went back and looked and they do indeed have a stout defense which is exactly what we want for a 1st game.
Their rushing D last year held opponents to 121y/g and were top 25 in FCS. They have 3 pre-season all americans on D, too.
Sounds like a great opening opponent.

They have a pretty cool football stadium. They are one of the few teams that play in a dome. It seats 9,100 and the field is grass
