Want to see a BIG part of our problem? You cheap-azz girls need to see this.
"Out of curiosity I went back and looked at the number of 4 star or higher OL signed by every school in the conference since Mizzou joined. This encompasses the classes from 2012-2022."
Alabama 30
Georgia 26
Texas A&M 25
LSU 25
Auburn 16
Tennessee 16
Florida 15
Kentucky 10
South Carolina 10
Arkansas 6
Ole Miss 6
Mississippi State 5
Mizzou 3, none since 2015
Vanderbilt 2
"Here's my point: Getting Logan Reichert is great. In this league, you have to get Logan Reichert every year. Maybe two. This probably isn't going to surprise anyone, just wanted to put some numbers to it."

Definitely. I've always believed you need 2 stud OL per cycle. Drink is trying to out scheme SEC defenses with witchcraft plays and motion. Not going to consistently work. Need a stout OL and an above average QB and we can compete. The RB/WR skill positions will take care of themselves.

That’s a stark difference.

Good research, and absolutely. Drink he improved that, and also brought in a OL who was going to help a lot this year(thanks ncaa).

Drink brought in a ton of players to shore up the shitty Dline and fill in holes. The D has improved. I think he either neglected the OL or didn't realize we'd be where we are without Hyrin White and Bence Polgar, and the other injured guy (can't remember who right now).
I still say he has 1 more year after this. But, after that we should know what we have and if its worth any more time.

When is Hyrin White supposed to return?

I think its TBD, but over the summer/fall notes it looked like late in the year if at all. So, who knows. I feel bad for the guy. He had NFL potential with a good year.

Kansas State did not get any 4 star OL recruits during the same time period. In fact they got a whopping 1 4 star high school recruit at any position during that time period. And they would be much more competitive in the SEC than us since Pinkel's retirement. Not saying better recruiting doesn't lead to increased success on average, but it doesn't explain why we got embarrassed this past weekend

It's just typical knee jerk journalism trying to keep up with the typical knee jerk fans.

Im sorry but Drink is not the guy. He doesn’t need more time. It’s time to go.
