I will be disappointed if they can't win 7 games. Two teams on the schedule have a two deep in between the B gaps that present a problem to MU's oline. Everyone else has as many questions as MU.

that could be said of Auburn, Georgia, and Florida.

Missouri State Win
South Carolina Win. I like the early game at home chances.
Purdue Win. Don't think they can turn around that dumpster fire that quick.
Auburn Loss. Could be a cool atmosphere if we are both undefeated though. Perhaps an early GameDay slot? Could have Homecoming 2010 type feel. Only seemingly decent games that week would be ND-Mich St, Duke-UNC, and maybe Pac12 games. Honestly might be a decent chance for Gameday
@Kentucky Win. Coming off a bye week. will be re-energized
@Georgia Loss. Although, they do have 2 road games just before, and another tough road game at ND in week 2. Could catch them tired.
Idaho Win
@Connecticut Win, but a little under the radar. They have their coach who built them up back now.
Florida Loss. I dont know why, but I don't like it.
Tennessee Win. We bury another Rocky Top coach, getting them fired.
@Vanderbilt Win, but barely. Their back end of the schedule is pretty easy comparatively.
@Arkansas Loss. Get lazy at the end of the season, and Arky will likely be fighting to be bowl eligible.

8-4 (4-4). I'd consider that a successful season.

I agree with the first two.

I disagree about UF. Florida allowed 200 yds rushing in 5 games vs conference opponents last year. They are replacing 2 starting LBs and both starting DTs. They are now cooking with their own groceries and have trended down on run defense vs conference opponents since Boom left. The secondary is gone as well. I think MU's interior line matches up well with them and that it's a winnable game.

I'll agree outside of Jawja and Aweburn every game is a toss up or better. So we should learn a lot about the coaching staff this season

I think Auburn has a few questions concerning Lawson's replacement. Steele's 4-3 Over Quarters depends on being able to use the DE as the run-force to allow the safety more time to read and be an alley defender. Tray Matthews lead the team in tackles because of this. They certainly have talent on the bench but to make the defense work, the DEs have to be able to set the edge.

We ain't getting gameday this year short of being 11-0 going into the last week with an Arkansas team that is 11-0.

I hope I'm wrong but a program that hasn't been to a bowl game in 2 years is going to take at least half of season just to get people to recognize they're still a program much less have Gameday consider them.

Don't forget that we have difficulty against teams with good backs and Auburn has 3 and an athletic qb. Plus we can't stop the triple option.

Don't forget that it's 2017. Auburn averaged 24 PPG last year vs teams with a winning record. MU averaged 27. This isn't Brick Haley's first rodeo with Gus Malzan's offense.

We have difficulty against teams with a strong offensive line.

Somewhat agree here......but putting Ws in the left side of the column changes attitudes fast. IF, a BIG if, our D comes to life (it doesn't have to be Top 15 nationwide), we'll be in Atlanta bc I think our O will be that good.

I'm thinking more of Auburn getting hyped leading us to get it. If we are both undefeated (meaning they beat Clemson), they will have the spotlight on them. Plus a lack of quality games that week gives it a chance.

"Stidham's first SEC game" hype.

From your lips to God's ears.

Undefeated Missouri vs undefeated Arkansas with a rematch assured in the SEC championship game... the SEC old guard would be burning down their trailers.
