Does anyone know if he is going to go to the minor league if he is selected early rounds? How far down the draft will it take for him to forgo going to the minor league?

I am hearing that he will get drafted at some point and that it’s possible that he signs with the team, with the other possibility being that he does not sign with them. Can’t reveal my source but they are very reliable

Horn is ranked in the 70's as an overall MLB prospect (as in 1 to...). That may put him in the 3rd or maybe 4th round as it is not linear.

I'm not sure what signing bonus money is like in those rounds, but let's just hope we have some good NIL money lined up for him.

Signing bonus will really depend on the team who drafts him, what their pool is, and whether they over/under spent on their other picks.

Power Mizzou now tweeting that we're out of the woods. Cites "multiple people" that there is no longer a concern that Sam will sign an MLB contract.

Let's Go!

Now that Horn is likely to be on the team, who wants to wildly speculate? I say he comes in for a few drives against Kansas State week 2 and is the starter the following week

I’m not sure he starts this year unless we are getting nothing out of the other 3 and midseason we’ve only won 2 games. Since he wasn’t an early enrollee and played baseball in the spring, he doesn’t know the playbook. Also hasn’t been getting reps with starters, so timing issues would be off.

I really hope Drink starts our best option at QB.

I don't care if it's Horn, Cook, or the dude from Dazed and Confused.

Agreed but after last year, I'm not sure that is how Drink operates.

Cook starts, Macon runs wildcat schemes, Horn holds the clipboard. Horn starts next year. Abraham becomes in essence an extra coach.

I think Cook is the starter and Macon enters portal week 5. I suspect Deion Sanders could use a QB with his skills at JSU.

I think we could get Macon enough volume to keep him around through 2 QB schemes or possibly trying him at WR/ RB where he has the option to pass. I also think Horn will be starter by no later than week 8. If we haven't won any of our first few SEC games (AU, UGA, UF), get Horn out there against Vandy to ease him into things
