Bad dad joke aside, does Drink have enough in the stable with his best horse on the mend?

One more, though: If Drink had paid Hardy a little more last year, would his wallet have been fat enough to stop the bullet?

That is somehow cleverer than it should be.

Roberts is a complete back. Roberts has long speed, better hands in the passing game and was miles ahead in pass pro. More of the playbook was available with him in the game.

When Hardy was in the game, he was getting the ball, period. He may have better vision, burst and a lower CoG but there were holes in his game.

I'm very confident in Roberts and very optimistic about Edwards, but if either of those guys go down are we confident in Fonoti/Warner? If not, then how does that impact our offense?

Speaking of Warner, after watching his Jr and Sr year highlights, he has potential to see the field. He has burst through the hole. Just not sure how tough a runner he is, yet.

Don't sleep on the Houston Christian transfer. Kid showed some heart vs Nebraska last year.

Agree on Edwards. I'm excited to watch him.

Drink has shown he has an eye for running backs. I trust the stable he's assembled.

Not so sure about the QBs though . . .

Fonoti has an opportunity to get reps if he can pass pro. The second level speed is going to be a challenge for him running the ball but be has the size to help pick up the blitz.

Edwards has a quite bit of potential in the Lindsey's screen game and in the flat.
