Ramey is VERY good. I've seen him play a couple of times live, and also on TV vs Oak Hill who is full of D1 recruits.
He's one of the better point guards to come out of STL in awhile.
He's easily a day 1 starter for us.

Will we have his transfer paperwork filled out along with his scholly paperwork? You know to just save time.

Zou brownmajic - Saw Ramey play at the Tournament of Champions. I understand your hesitation about buying into the hype, but there is no comparison to Geist.
Ramey is a very good athlete with a feel for the point. Both of which Geist can not claim.
Ramey is a very good athlete with very good speed and ball handling. Good shooter. Not elite at anything, but very good at a lot (from what I saw). I did not see a ton of mistakes, nor did I see any elite phase of his game.

when considering the Ramey hype its important to look at what his role would be for Mizzou next season. Ramey won’t have to be the best player that carries the team.
Offensively Ramey will really need to be the 4th or 5th option. If Ramey comes in and is a good defender, cuts down on the turnovers, creates some easier shots for his teammates and is a threat offensively himself that’s all we should need.
If Ramey averages 7 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds I would be happy and that’s good enough for Mizzou to compete for the SEC title.

Ramey isnt a great scorer, but he can score. he'll give you around 40% from 3, mid 70's for FT%. He can drive to the hoop and draw the foul. His mid-range game is sorta plain.
Other than Jontay, he would be the most complete player next year. above average passing, dribbling, scoring, IQ, defense.

I would put Ramey 4th or 5th depending on what Mizzou does with the last scholarship.
Here’s the order I put the offense in
Jontay
Tilmon
Santos, but his true role should be defense. He has SEC defensive player of the year capability.
Then either a grad transfer guard or Ramey. And no I don’t expect Ramey to shoot 40% from 3. He’s not doing that now in High school.

hes shot 38% both last two years. He should easily get to 40%
he also takes a few really bad 3s a game too, forcing them thinking he has to be the go to guy. another reason his 3 isnt over 40%

After only 1 season under Martin, you guys are debating whether a 4 star PG recruit is worth the hype coming to Mizzou. What a difference a year makes. Under KA, we would have been so thankful to be considered at this point.

Jontay shot 40% from 3 in high school and AAU. He’s shooting 36% from 3 in college.
Ramey will be good in college, it will just take a couple of years before he’s ready to be the man.

He's a very heady player and scorer, but my only concern was that we need pgs that can dribble or get out of presses and that's not his game. He scores a lot when he shoots a lot. I just made light to him not having great handles and he gets a few too many of his shots blocked by guys even his height. I've only seen game videos on him and not seen him live and I could be wrong on my assumption. Look at his game videos on youtube when you have a little time and determine for yourselves.

WG uses Ramey different than how Mizzou will use him.
