NWA and SWM are fairly similar culturally. Should not ever have the hatred Mizzou had with KU.

You don't think that culturally Kansas City MO is an awful lot like Kansas? That entire NW area of Missouri is culturally like Kansas.. and there was hatred.

We'll never hate anyone as much as KU, but that isn't proper logic for dismissing a sure thing rivalry between MU and ARK.

I don't see Tenner ever being a rival b/c they are too entrenched with Bama, then FL, KY (weird) and UGA.

Man, I hate to break it to you but Bama, FL, and UGA all have bigger fish to fry than you...

Read it again - he was responding to me saying I could see a rivalry brew between Mizzou and Tennessee - and he doesn't think so because of their existing rivalries. Not that Arkansas has a rivalry with Tennessee.

You all gotta admit, these aTm fans popping up in here now are as bad as Kansas fans just alittle more intelligent with thier posts. I'll give the aTm fans some credit. They come straight at you unlike Kansas fans that like to pose and troll.

I still think eventually, our football rivalry will be aTm and our basketball rivalry will be Arkansas. aTm bcause they are an old B12 team that left with us to the SEC and Arkansas because of Anderson.

I just don't think we can crack that old SEC shell to develope a rivalry with any of them.

No worries here.

My whole point about Arkansas not having a rival stems from certain clashes/points of contention within our own fanbase. Until we resolve those issues, Arkansas won't ever be able to collectively embrace a true rivalry.

I see what you are sayying bout the KC area, good point.

Myself, it will take a lot to create a hatred of another fanbase. A friendly rivalry, that's fine. What Mizzou had with Kansas, no thanks. I don't want anything like that with anyone.

When you guys visit Fayetteville, let me and the other Arkansas posters know. We'll be happy to provide some insight into avoid visit. I also believe there are some Mizzou fans living here who can help too.

Yeah, I think true hate in rivalries has to have something very historic involved to keep it heated.

I see a good healthy rivalry developing with Arkansas. Not a hate filled one, I honestly wouldn't want another KU type of hate either.

I don't think we have any automatic victories this year.

I hate Kansas too. In high school I used to play basketball during the summers in Kansas. Ugh, what a miserable place with miserable people.

I was bored on Netflix the other day and started watching Ken Burns' great civil war mini-series. Thing about the kansas Missouri rivalry is...they were killing each other for about 8 years before Fort Sumter even fell.

When you hate your neighbor that much...why wait?

Oh, and John Brown was the Tim McVeigh of his time.

SELA was closer than it looked if it weren't for the defensive and special teams scores. Of course, maybe that's also what makes them SELA.
