The Bama game is definitely not on Cook. I agree that the play calling last year was too bland, but our offense under Drink is never going to put up video game #s. He is a strong proponent of complimentary football, which is why so many resources have gone into the defense.

Considering who we also have at running back, who's left at the receiver position, and how good our defense should be; I could see us running an "old man" football type of offensive system. Beau's vids on youtube don't really have him airing it out so that's a big question.

Beau brings a different element to the QB run game. Cook made his hay on scrambles. I thought he struggled reading blocks/lacked decisiveness on QB counter and power. Beau's tape shows a lot of success on those two plays and zone read. Hitting the play action off those blocking schemes is the question. He did on a very small sample size vs Wisconsin. I hope he shows some accuracy downfield tomorrow.
