I like Gates but this is pathetic. The defense for the first 5 minutes was back to elite and then completely gone again.

It's 3 seasons of it now. His defenses are absolutely atrocious. I also like Gates, but his tenure will always be defined by terrible defense. It depends if we can score enough points or not.

I don't mind the slide before the tourney. Gives Gates something to use to focus the team. This is a good team, who avoided a stretch of mental lapses all season. Now they've had it, now get back to playing the way they should.
