Will would improve the recruiting the day he's hired.

He would also put a dent in St.Louis, he already has a relationship with Lutheran North coach, who will always have talent on his roster, as trinity and LN recruit kids to their schools, so they are getting quality.

Couple smart posters here at least

Instead were going to get another Turd. I was so sure Sterk was going to do the right thing, now i know, this is another Cuonzo Hiring. Has experience, but in over his head in SEC. And recruiting will continue to be average

Probably correct again. Risk adverse. Scared money. Or Sterk just sucks. Pick any of those. It really doesn’t matter. We’ll very likely end up with a meh hire and continue being a meh program because nobody has any fricking vision and are too scared to take a chance. It’s sad, really

It's amazing that Skip Holtz is actually on sterks list, but Sonny Dykes isn't even on an alternative list.

I agree with this. They do have some obvious commonalities. We don’t know at the time of hire if they can handle the CEO portion of an SEC job.

Missed opportunity to do something bold. Mizzou is exactly the type of program that should be taking chances.

Sterk won’t be around next time though when we are hiring again in 3 years so there’s that. Hopefully I’m still alive at that point

So if only given a chance, Scuba Steve and Club Lit would break down the barriers between Mizzou FB and the St Louis football talent that have existed for 60 years.

Lol.

Well, he's not a True Son, but I think the scuba deal would resound well in East St. Louis. That and rapping to Lawrence Welk polkas.

Much better than old crusty white dude and if you can’t see that then you aren’t seriously looking

ETA: it also does not matter where the players come from. Healy would recruit circles around any of these dudes.

Absent bagmen, it doesn’t matter how hip the recruiter is in the STL.

“I could get paid $50k or I could go play for this guy who knows Kendrick Lamar lyrics.”

Kendrick Lamar lyrics win every time. Shirtless clubbing is a bonus.

So recruiting makes no difference at all? That’s the stance we are going to take?

No, the stance is he would make no difference in recruiting. What position groups do you see him making an improvement in?

A high grade bag man helps a lot. Particularly with the St Louis high school mafia. At least until the coach can wave about a handful of endorsement contracts.

Any position group that is going to be filled by young people

So all of them.

LOL at thinking these old crusty white dudes could recruit anywhere near where Healy could. Laughable

Coaching is another thing! Can't have a lack of prove3n record and say can win at a P5 school. No way! Coach at a power 5 is a lot better and others that are not power 5 are good if have winning culture. Brian Harsin. or co-OC at Clemson Jeff Scott. This is from a power 5 that have winning culture and won several NC.
