The announcer said at the beginning of the game that Mike said that he was at only 65-70 percent healthy. I believe it, because he didn't slam when he had the opportunity and he had 2 shots block shooting flat-footed. His explosion and leaping was non defunct.

I have back problems, plus I'm older than Mike, but my back is always tight and stiff.

Did you actually watch the game?

Who else was going to play? Puryear fouled out, Tilmon fouled out, Jontay had 3 early, Nikko couldn't guard Maten, and Barnett/Robertson decided they didn't need to show up.

MPJ kept the game close. If he wasn't there we lose by 10+.

Seniors didnt show. Robertson even had a chance at redemption at the end and blew it.

Shooting 5-17 isn’t keeping the game close. He literally hit 2 jumpers and 3 layups.

Jontay is the one that kept the game close.
The poor showing from Kash and Barnett is the reason Mizzou lost. They were 2-10 from 3 and 4-18 from th floor.

Good points, especially with the fouls. I still argue coaches should have pushed the team to run the offense through Kash more to try to get him warmed up and more involved. Just an opinion.

The game went pretty much as I thought/feared it might. MPJ didn't have his legs under him yet and the rest of the team sans jontay looked like they were having trouble figuring out what their roles were with MPJ on the court. Would have been nice obviously to have a few more games with him on the court so roles could be reestablished.

I don't think you are giving Cuonzo near enough credit though. We have the biggest W turnaround in all of D1 and that's despite...well, you know everything that happened.

You won't find one post by me that says otherwise.... So relax

My point was 18 19 20 wins is an average CM year.

If he comes up with a offensive scheme/players that can actually score more then 60 points a game there's no reason we can't compete for the SEC crown next year.

I said before the beginning of the season, anything past the 1st round in the Tourney is a nice bonus and a great year.... Still believe that now.

Still an 8 seed according to Lunardi.

So the loss was essentially meaningless.

I'd run very light practice for everyone, and a heavy does of conditioning for MPJ.

Get as ready as possible and let's go try to make a run.

Can someone please find Kash some new yellow Nikes? Those shredded old ones were good luck for him.

In football the stripes have been fenerally fair to both Mizzou and Texas A&M since joining the SEC.

It is not the same in roundball; the basketball stripes definitely favor the long-time SEC schools.

The win total may be normal for Cuonzo coached teams, but the the offensive philosophy Mizzou played with this year is not typical of Cuonzo coached teams. He showed a willingness to evolve. A guard like Ramey should help that offense take another step forward.

Better than wallowing in a pit of misery constantly.

There are some potential positives from the early exit. Hopefully we take advantage of them. If not, then oh well. I can't and won't be upset about how this season played out.

Maybe we have a run in us, but if we don't then I'm still very excited about the future. Zo is going to do some big things here.

I've stated the same.

It's a work in progress. Should expect to see more progress next season.

Ramey would help with the next step for sure.

Again, I'm not at all unhappy with where we are right now.
