We’ve only scored more than 70 pts 4 times in 13 games, and none against any decent opponent.

We are terrible offensively. I’m not sure how anyone could disagree.

Beyond that it’s just a terribly boring style of basketball to watch. If we are going to be middling, then I’d much rather be a middling team that got some buckets

Unless Cuonzo could have recruited like Calipari it’s going to take 4-5 years to recover from Kim Anderson. Cuonzo has the defensive culture in place.

Since the announcers were using Virginia as a comparison I looked up them in year 3 of Bennett. His team averaged 62 points that season and were ranked 133 in offensive efficiency. Right now Mizzou is averaging 68 and is 118 in offensive efficiency.

Virginia is pointed out despite the fact that they are really the only team that plays that grinding style of basketball that is having any significant success

Of the top 30 teams in KenPom they are by far the worst in O 183. The next worst is Texas Tech at 60. Most are much higher. You have to be able to play offense to win. Doesn’t mean you have to abandon playing defense

Kentucky plays at almost the exact tempo Mizzou does. 68 possessions per game for Kentucky compared to 67 for Mizzou. They just have the athletes to draw a lot of fouls to get easy points at the line.

There are a lot of teams in the top 50 of KenPom that play slower than Mizzou.

We will be slightly better statistically this year and we won’t be in the NCAA tournament.

There’s no freshmen help coming in 2020-21. So Cuonzo better be coaching these cats up. We will be in year 4 and be a bubble team most likely. And the recruiting isn’t great. It’s like B- recruiting.

He’s going to get 5 or 6 years, most likely. We will see what he does with it. Certainly not filling the arena.

Yea I never said he was going to be successful. I’m not sure if that. Just that I bet he’s here past year 4. I also think given the hat he started with Cuonzo has done a good job. Getting Jackson to play to his recruiting ranking by his sophomore or junior season would be huge for Cuonzo.

JesusQuintana is still dogging out CM while he made every excuse for Odom. When does it end? You need to chill, dude.

His style will work if he can recruit better.

But only one that plays worse.

So yeah, this was always my hope with Cuonzo he’d be able to recruit enough to overcome his terrible style of basketball.

He hasn’t. Unless he starts, this is the type of team you are going to see perpetually

It will end when and if he stops sucking. So it likely won’t, unless Josh Christopher can somehow save him.

But even if the recent rumors are true and he does end up here, Cuonzo will probably play him 10 minutes a game because he’s not getting enough floor burns in practice

Jaylen Brown played 28 minutes per game As a freshman. That’s the last comparison player Cuonzo recruited.

Recruiting is the answer in every college sport. Any style works with talent. Cuonzo’s has had top 30 offenses when he’s had talent.

It would be nice to get Christopher, but he's likely not coming here. He's really not a team player and shoots toooooooo much.(still love to get him) We need some athletic frontline players with some long wing-span. Please...somebody that can shoot and hit some 3's consistently.

Teams are taking away Tilmon and Niko and M. Smith bring nothing against athletic low post players.

Kobe Brown has some pretty decent game, but he has no help. We lost to the better team in front of 22 thousand of their fans and people are still complaining

Virginia and Texas Tech? Why does that sound familiar?

The refs took Tilmon out of that game with 2,3 and 4 foul calls. The best was the make up calls right after to meaningless players. As if that makes it okay.

I thought the first and third fouls were good calls. The second and for sure the fourth were poor calls. Most of the bad calls in that game was by the same official.

But he’ll be a way better person before he transfers out.

But Odom could endlessly suck and you still love him long time. I'm sure you still have dreams of sucking him.
