My thoughts on the Alabama game

Really I mean where the frick do I start, I already mentioned how shitty the Mizzou Alumni was so now since that's covered I will move on to the game:
1. We need a new fricking center neither Mcnulty or Morse can get the Job done so find one in the bye week
2. Corbin Berkstresser took a beating because the line he was playing behind is fricking awful with the exception of Boehm.
3. The fricking wide receivers need to learn how to catch in the bye week again I mean frick the passes that were on target for first downs were dropped
4. Tackling drills, Tackling drills, Tackling drills until they fricking drop
5. Thank You the University of Missouri for almost killing us all in the second quarter when we saw the first lightning strike and realized it was close enough, but you continued to play. The second lightning strike literally made me shite myself with how close to the stadium it was.
6. We need a new fricking stadium evacuation plan immediately. I was sitting on the 4 rows up from brick wall in the student section and stood in the isle for 20 minutes with people standing in the isle with their thumbs up their asses. The usher was too fricking stupid to realize no one was moving because all the people from upper bowl were walking down to the lower bowl to exit. The fricking pregame report clearly states people in the lower bowl are suppose to exit onto the playing field and out through the south end zone but it took Forrest 20 minutes to realize this and I finally made my way over to Mizzou Arena drenched because of this fricker.

We don't have any other quality center, or he would have been playing.
I agree about Berkstresser, but he still looks lost at times. Those trenches were rough for Mizzou today. I was glad they started to actually play after the delay.
I agree again, but it was raining hard and this aint backyard football.
Cuz, both of those running backs are large men that can run. You mix them with a talented large athletic line, they are going to run you over. Arm takles won't do it with back that big.
Yes close lightning strikes will make you cream your shorts. Been there several times.
We still have quality recruits comming next year. I know it's hard but we got to be patient. I thought we would have quality enough personel to compete this year, but I am wrong. Or this coaching staff is in over it's head.

I have to also say, once again I see Yost calling a wilscat formation back to back plays. ???? I don't understand what he was thinking on that. Play calling again was questionable.
I say get Franklin back to 100%, get him back in there but don't rush him back. There's no point now. Get him healthy. He's our best chance to win.

Future SEC teams when you see Kendial lined up in the wildcat it is a run up the middle for <2yards
Yost may be a good recruiter but he is an abysmal play caller. The game plan was again conservative, and I actually felt like I was watching a high school offense.
How could I forget we need a new fricking long snapper too it's getting pretty fricking pathetic watching this I will gladly snap the ball 7 yards to the punter or 3 yards to the holder for a scholarship and I'm pretty sure I would do a better job

Everything starts up front. The two most important positions on the field are Quarterback, and the 5 offensive linemen. When you are running out an 18 year old kid and 5 backups on the offensive line...you're going to have problems.
Bill Belechek would have had problems getting more than 100 yards out there today. Stinks, but that's pretty much the situation we're in. We return 16 starters next year, not even including Josey. Gotta start building for relevance next season and chalk this up to taking our initiation lumps.
Oh, and take it out on this league in hoops if we can

I'm just chalking up this season as a complete loss. I have no faith In Mizzou's football team. Defense is good but they can't play the entire game and our offense isn't helping them out any.

Frankly I thought we did look like a high school team or JV team out there. I don't mean that so much as a slam as an observation of the difference in size and speed as much as anything. Alabama is the number one team in the nation for a reason. It's flat out night and day the nature and type of athletes the two schools get. Having said that, I thought after the delay the guys showed some guts. They could have packed it in and called it a day but they hung tough for the most part.

Leadership is SEVERELY lacking ON the field. Not sure how else to explain the drops, substitution penalties etc etc. Years past, you didn't see that. Richardson apparently has taken that role on teh defense (if the halftime reports are any indication)...but still haven't heard who in the hell on the offensive side is carrying that torch.
I used to think it was Moe, but now I get the feeling that he is disliked by a good portion of his teammates. The Franklin situation really brought that to light.
Oh well...we bounced back last year...gotta do it again. Keep pressing on I guess.

Great, what we DON'T need is more injuries.

Bingo. On paper, before the season started, we should have been a mid-level SEC teams. Injuries have killed us, and we simply do not have the depth to replace the injured players. This is probably the biggest of the growing pains - depth, particularly on the lines.
True, Spiccoli is not a good play-caller, and I'm now on the anti-Yost team. That said, what kinds of plays did you expect to be called in today's conditions, other than conservative? Tigerboard is full of people calling for the entire staff, especially Pinkel and Yost to go. Be realistic - that would set us way back. What they need to do is add power running to the offensive scheme. Which we kind-of have with a healthy Franklin.

This would be great. I'm hopeful!

Yep - there are 5 more games to be played. We need to do the best we can in those games and recruit the hell out of Georgia, Florida, etc. And focus on linemen in that recruiting.

We just played BY FAR the best team in college football. May end up being one of or the best teams in the last decade.
We had our backup qb in. What did you expect?

Berks arm looked real nice.
He seemed to be on target on deep passes with some touch. And on target with fire on shorter throws..
But he also killed me.. is he blind in his left eye? He seems to have no peripheral vision. I'm sure its 1000000000 times harder than it looks, but he seems to get lost sometimes.

If the team that showed up today showed up last week, we would have destroyed Vandy.
I was pleased with the team overall.. its a shame we shite on ourselves so much by not catching passes that have to be caught. Letting them run the field on the first play..
If some breakdowns don't happen early its a lot tighter game.

Did DGB play today or is he still suspended? I was thinking back and I honestly don't remember seeing him on the field much less his name called.

I saw him run on the field in the second half for a play maybe he got an additional half game suspension

Does anyone think anything will be done about Yost? I am 95% sure that nothing changes. I'm also tired of hearing "If we would have executed, it would have worked." Well no shite. The problem is when you're drawing up and calling crappy plays, the odds of being able to successfully execute them are slim to none.
